The beginning of World War II: the main reasons

The most grandiose, bloody and terrible war in human history, called World War II, did not begin on September 1, 1939 , the day when Hitlerite Germany attacked Poland. The outbreak of World War II was inevitable since the end of the war in 1918, which led to the redistribution of practically the whole of Europe. Immediately after the signing of all the treaties, each of the re-decorated countries, which had taken part of the territories, began its small war. While it was conducted in the minds and conversations of those who did not return from the front as winners. They again and again experienced the events of those days, sought the causes of defeat and conveyed the bitterness of their own loss to their growing children.

It is precisely this hatred of enemies that has been cherished for decades, the resentment of the oppression of new masters of towns and villages, the need to get used to another, unusual life, and made possible the outbreak of World War II. But all these reasons to resume the war were in the field of psychology. There were also real historical preconditions that led to the unleashing of hostilities, in which virtually the entire globe was involved .

Official reasons for the outbreak of World War II

According to historical research, scientists identify the following reasons:

  • Territorial disputes that arose as a result of the redistribution of Europe by Britain, France and the Allied States. After the collapse of the Russian Empire as a result of its withdrawal from military operations and the revolution that occurred in it, and also because of the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, nine new states appeared on the world map at once. Their borders were not yet clearly defined, and in many cases disputes were fought literally for every inch of the earth. In addition, countries that have lost part of the territories that belonged to them, tried to return them, but the winners who joined the new land were unlikely to be willing to part with them. The centuries-old history of Europe did not know the best way to resolve any, including territorial disputes, other than fighting, and the outbreak of World War II Became inevitable;
  • To the olonial disputes. Here it is worth mentioning not only that the losers of the country, having lost their colonies that provided the treasury with a constant inflow of funds, certainly dreamed of their return, but also that the liberation movement was growing inside the colonies. Charter to be under the yoke of certain colonialists, the inhabitants sought to get rid of any submission, and in many cases it also inevitably led to the emergence of armed clashes;
  • Rivalry of the leading powers. It is difficult to admit that, after being defeated from world history, Germany, after its defeat, did not dream of taking revenge. Deprived of the possibility of having its own army (except for volunteers, whose strength could not exceed 100,000 soldiers with light weapons), Germany, accustomed to the role of one of the world's leading empires, could not reconcile itself to the loss of its rule. The beginning of the Second World War in this aspect was only a matter of time;
  • Dictatorial regimes. A sharp increase in their number in the second third of the twentieth century created additional prerequisites for unleashing fierce conflicts. Paying great attention to the development of the army and weapons, first as a means of suppressing possible internal unrest, and then as a way to conquer new lands, the European and Eastern dictators did their best to bring the outbreak of World War II with all their might;
  • The existence of the USSR. The role of the new socialist state, which arose on the ruins of the Russian Empire, as an irritant for the United States and Europe, can not be overemphasized. The rapid development of communist movements in a number of capitalist powers against the backdrop of the existence of such an obvious example of victorious socialism could not but inspire fear, and an attempt to erase the USSR from the face of the earth would be undertaken inevitably.
