Construction and improvement of the temple

2005 is the year when the temple "Praise of the Most Holy Theotokos" was opened. Volgograd had not previously had a church in this place. Therefore, under the temple building, the city administration allocated a building in which the Mir cinema was previously located. In 2006, these premises became the property of the Volgograd diocese and divine services began in the newly-opened church. But this was preceded by a period of reconstruction: the building was cleared of accumulated debris and it was repaired. Then, according to the requirements of religious tradition, an altar was built and an iconostasis was erected.

In 2009, the temple "Praise of the Blessed Virgin" (Volgograd) was also held water and equipped a well with holy water. Since 2010, the temple began the construction of a separate baptistery, designed to perform the sacrament of baptism. In the same year, the Sunday School was opened.
