System requirements Total War Attila. Game Review

Total War Attila - the next part of the popular series of turn-based strategies. In addition to tactical maps, the game also has an excellent mode of battles in real time, for which the fans of Total War Attila are so fond of. System requirements on the PC, overview and impressions of the strategy read on.

What is the game about?

The action takes place in 395 BC. During this period, the collapse of the Roman Empire in times that are difficult for her. The player has to take up the rescue of the state from the constant raids of the barbarians. Before the ruler is a very difficult and seemingly impossible task - to restore the once powerful power, before which all enemies and neighbors fluttered. The structure and gameplay of the game is still a classic. Beginning with the first part of the series, the developers have developed a balanced scheme for combining turn-based strategy and fighting in real time.

Changes in the series

In the new part, the developers tried to squeeze out all the juices from the graphics engine. Improved detail, especially in real-time battles. The technique of turn-based strategy is also not forgotten and "twisted" in it a graphic component. Because of this, the system requirements of Total War Attila jumped dramatically. Also, the interface of the game was not bypassed. With each new part, developers are improving it more and more, adding more convenient controls, removing unnecessary controls and so on. Changes have affected the ancient skills and families, management and civil process.

In the new part of the players, an even greater elaboration of the authenticity, the atmosphere of the ancient era and the times of the Roman Empire awaits. At first glance, the new part seems just a big and global addition to Rome. However, this is not quite true. These two games brings together the genre, theme and company developers. In fact, all the elements and mechanisms were polished to the ideal.

Other side

Also in the game you can choose the side of the barbarians and nomads. It was on them that the emphasis was placed on the new part. Because of this, the game conditions become even tougher. If the battles for the Roman Empire Total War Attila requirements were minimal, then for the nomads you will have to adapt even to severe environmental conditions. Every day the weather will get worse, bringing the player closer to winter. Because of this, the state of the settlement is deteriorating, the mood of people is falling, if you are not prepared for the cold season.

The increased requirements of Total War Attila to the computer are due to the improvement of graphics and detail in the battles. Since the series is not famous for good optimization, the computer will need a powerful one, in order to enjoy local beauties and drawing. Artificial intelligence also grieved all the fans. Computer opponents behave illogically and very quickly go to the stage of battles, thanks to which in a few steps the map becomes similar to the result of the barbarians' raid.

Total War Attila: system requirements

To run the game at minimum graphics quality settings, you will need approximately the following configuration: an Intel Core i3 processor or similar from AMD, 3 GB of RAM, 512 MB of video memory and 35 GB of free hard disk space for installation. But that is not all. To run the game at the most advanced graphics settings, you will need a configuration that is not weaker than this: a quad-core Core i5 processor or an analog from AMD, 4 GB of RAM and 2 GB of video memory with DirectX11 support.

It is worth recalling that the requirements of Total War Attila includes the installed operating system Windows 7 on a 64-bit architecture or newer. In fact, the claimed requirements of developers will not allow you to enjoy the best picture quality. From the listed conditions, you can see that the difference between the minimum and the recommended starts with a much larger amount of memory on the video card, because this element is the full load in terms of image processing. The game is not CPU-dependent.

Verdict

This is an ambiguous, poorly optimized, but the best game in the series at the moment. That's how you can describe Total War Attila. The minimum system requirements are quite low, so you can play on a fairly budget computer. However, good performance can only be obtained on a system whose parameters exceed the recommended requirements. All fans of the series just need to get acquainted with the new part of the great strategy.
