SunDing cycling computer: instruction in English, installation and settings

The modern SunDing cycle computer is a multifunctional speedometer for standard, sports, mountain and electric models. The device is protected from moisture, allows you to control several traffic parameters. When observing the recommendations specified in the manual, the device can be easily installed and set up by hand. Before starting the device, it must be reset. To do this, you need to remove the battery for a couple of minutes, and then insert it into place. All readings will be set to zero.

Basic notation

Below are the abbreviations typical of the SunDing bike computer:

1. SPeeD or SPD - indicates the current bike speed in the range from 0 to 99 km / h.
2. ODO (odometer) - the total mileage of the equipment (shows the sum of all distances after installing the computer on a bicycle). The limiting value is 9,999 km.
3. DST (distance) - indicates the distance traveled for the current journey, the readings can be reset at any time.
4. MXS - the maximum speed indicator, fixed for the current trip.
5. AVS is a similar averaged parameter.
6. TM - the duration of the current journey, without taking into account the stops.
7. CLK - a clock (have two modes - 12 and 24 hours).
8. Scan - the mode of sequential display of the above parameters. Each value is displayed for four seconds.
9. "+ / -" - a sensor indicating an excess or decrease in speed, compared to the average for a trip.
10. Freeze Frame Memory - freezes the current parameters of the device.

After installing the battery, the display shows 2060. The first value will be displayed in flashing mode. You will need to select the wheel number from the table. To select a value, you need to press the left key, and when the right button is activated, the information will be saved. Another press of the right key will switch to the km / h setting mode.

Pressing the right button will display the selection of the parameters km / h or m / h. To select the Ready mode, press the left button. Another one of her touch will translate the device into a clock setting.

To install the SunDing bike computer, hold the left key for three seconds to select 12 or 24 hours. To determine the time value, you need to activate the right button. After the clock indicator starts flashing, select the required value with the left key. The next press of the right button will go to setting the minutes. After the time is set, activate the right key to go to the speedometer settings.

Other installations

The SunDing cycling computer has an odometer option. To set it up, press and hold the left working key for a couple of seconds. The initial value of the total run of the bike will be 0000.0. After one digit starts blinking, use the right button to select the desired reading, and then press the left button to lock the data and proceed to setting the next digit. It should be noted that when changing or removing the battery, the last value can correspond to the readings that were before the battery was replaced.

To reset the total mileage and other current values, it is sufficient to hold both keys simultaneously for a few seconds. The time will remain unchanged.

Speed parameters are constantly displayed in the display in the value from 0 to 99.9 km / h. The error is about 0.1 km / h. Regularly the indicator "+" or "-" appears on the screen, which indicates an excess or decrease in the average for the trip speed indicator.

Adjust / reset speed and distance

The stylish and multifunctional SunDing cycling computer is equipped with the function of displaying the distance traveled for the current journey. To reset this information, press the left key with a five second hold. After that, the distance traveled, the average speed and the total duration will be reset. To switch to the maximum speed mode, activate the button on the left.

The MXS position displays the maximum speed threshold for the current trip. To reset the information, hold the left key for at least five seconds. Further transition to the AVS mode is carried out by pressing the left button again. To reset this indicator, you must repeat the manipulation, similar to the previous method.

The next pressing of the left key will switch to the mode of the total duration of the current trip (TM). In this case, only the travel time is taken into account, the information can be zeroed in the same way for MXS and AVS. In the next mode, the transition is made after the next pressing of the left key.

Additional pointers

The SunDing SD 563B cycling computer, the instruction in English to which it is supplied as standard, has a scan option. After its activation, all the standby modes appear on the display with an interval of four seconds. To exit this mode, activate the button on the right.

The sleep mode is activated if the signal from the indicator does not come on for five minutes. Only time is displayed on the screen. Pressing the left button will freeze the current information. Using the right button of the SunDing SD 576A cycling computer, you can switch between readings. Pressing the left button again takes the device out of the "freeze" state.

It should be noted that the right key serves to switch almost all modes, the left button - to control the mode of freezing.

How to set up a cycling computer?

The installation of the set in question is made as follows:

1. A magnetic sensor is attached to the outer spoke with a special screw.
2. The reader is mounted on the inside of the rack. You can fix it on Velcro. The distance between the reader and the end of the sensor should be 20-30 mm. The final tightening of the clamps will increase this distance by 2-3 mm, which is the norm.
3. The mounting area of the SunDing SD bike computer display is fixed with Velcro and a pair of plastic clamps on the handlebars.
4. The wire is laid in such a way that, at any radius of rotation, it remains unstrung.
5. The display of the device is mounted on the work platform.
6. The operation of the device is checked.

An Important Moment

Knowing how to set up a cycling computer, you need to remember the importance of calculating the length of one wheel revolution. For this, it is possible to pump the chamber up to the working pressure, apply a chalk or paint a transverse strip in the center of the tire. Then, strictly in a straight line, it is necessary to travel a distance so that the wheel leaves two marks on the road. It is necessary to ride on a bicycle or apply an appropriate effort, leading it in your hands. This is to ensure that the pressure on the camera is compared with the actual load.
