Kazakhstan is gradually becoming a popular tourist destination. Surprising in its beauty, nature and legalized gambling business pushed local businessmen to develop and beach infrastructure. In this article we will talk about the Kapchagai reservoir. When it was created, but it was in 1970, no one thought that there would be a recreational area. Just with the Soviet straightforwardly evicted the inhabitants of the village of Ili, flooded it and built the turbines of the Kapchagai hydroelectric power station. On the shore of the formed reservoir a new town was formed. Its population was evacuated residents of Ili. The city was named Kapchagai (modern name Kapshagai). For a long time it was a small and unremarkable settlement in the Almaty region. But nine years ago with the adoption of the law "On the gambling business" the town for a couple of years turned into a resort. What is the climate in Kapchagai

The reservoir is located in the middle reaches of the Ili River. It stretches for a hundred kilometers! The width of the pond is 25-30 km. The average depth is about forty meters. For its size and proximity to the former capital of Kazakhstan, and nicknamed the man-made lake by the Almaty Sea. For the weekend, many residents of the region come here. For them, the main attractions - a casino and a wonderful water park. But for those who came from afar, the main thing is beach rest. On Kapchagai recreation areas (and there are more than one hundred and fifty) occupied all the banks. These are mostly private guest houses. Only two boarding houses are in state ownership. This, of course, is worth coming in the summer months. The air warms up to forty degrees, but the deep lake softens the heat. The water temperature is +18 ^о С in May, +20 ^о С in June, +22 ... +24 ^о С in July and +26 ... +28 ^о С in August.

Rest on Kapchagai: recreation areas

Since the eighties the reservoir has been known as a recreational area. Alma-Ata residents gathered here for the weekend. Then on the banks stood barracks, where you could at least spend the night. Now, near the beaches, private hotels are crowded in orderly rows, vying to offer comfortable rest on Kapchagai. Recreation areas can be divided into categories. The first is "boutique hotels" for VIP clients. The cost of rest is on average twenty thousand tenge (for reference: 1 thousand tenge is about 200 Russian rubles). On the territory there is a swimming pool, a spa, billiards and other amusements. As an example, you can name "Picnic Park" or "Riviera Club". The second category is for family holidays. Purely neat, on the territory there is a swimming pool, sometimes - Wi-Fi and other joys of civilization. The price of such a holiday is from five to fifteen thousand tenge. And finally, "Robinsonade" - small houses on the sandy shore. Sometimes they can have air conditioners, refrigerators, a minimum set of dishes. But the cost of such a holiday is just symbolic: three, and sometimes one and a half thousand tenge.

"Pearl"

The recreation area on Kapchagai, which we will describe below, is located on the north coast (next to the Ministry of Internal Affairs). "Pearl" is intended for family rest. There is a building with rooms for five people and two or three-bed houses. Accommodation in the summer of 2016 will be at the level of last year's prices. For a room with facilities in the section (in the building) three, and in the house - five thousand tenge per person. You can order three meals a day (2000 per day). On the territory there is a swimming pool with a children's section and a playground. The sandy beach of the man-made lake stretches fifty meters from the resort hotel.

"Fiesta"

This resort hotel is located on the route of Almaty - Taldykorgan, on the south-western shore of the reservoir, in the city of Kapshagaya. Therefore, all the necessary infrastructure is near you. Recreation area "Fiesta" on Kapchagai is a scattering of comfortable modern cottages designed for a comfortable stay of six people. The whole house is rented, regardless of the number of tenants in it. Prices in the summer vary depending on the days of the week. The recreation area is located on the 96th kilometer of the road, fifty meters from the equipped beach. On the territory there are swimming pools for adults and children, a Finnish sauna, a billiard room, a banquet hall, a bar with a hookah. You can rent a gazebo with a trestle directly on the beach, as well as everything you need for cooking shish kebabs and grilling. Rest zone on Kapchagai "Rio" provides houses of economy class, rooms in a wooden cottage and VIP cottages. Prices - from three to twenty thousand tenge.

"Cabbage"

A private recreation center is located on the south-western tip of the reservoir. It is adjacent to the resort hotel "Freedom". The recreation area "Kapusta" on Kapchagai has a huge territory. All of it is beautifully equipped. Everywhere trees, flowers, fountains and sculptures. The recreation center has its own beach with a pier. As you guessed, this is a hotel - for discerning customers. Two swimming pools, four cafes, a banquet hall - all this is at guests' disposal.
