Modern music is represented by all kinds of performers and collectives. A special place is occupied by various directions, the existence of which sometimes admirers of this art form simply do not know. An example is "Stigmata" - a relatively new band on the music arena. What is "Stigmata"?

This is not a religious phenomenon. According to one of the participants of the team Denis, the title was chosen on the basis of their conditions of readability, euphony and easy memorability. It is necessary to agree, it is important. The rock group, which appeared in St. Petersburg, combined the styles of alternative metal and metalcore - directions recognized in narrow circles.

Becoming, searching for yourself

For five years, the team was studying the most appropriate style. At the same time, the group, including soloists Denis Kichenko and Taras Umansky, performed with concerts in the northern capital, along with others, already winning success among the listeners by collectives - "Genome" and Amatory. The musical label "Kapkan Records", dealing with non-standard directions, suggested the team to record their debut album. So in 2004 appeared "Dream Conveyor". The group went to the first round, and also got the opportunity to perform with the collective of NAIV at the ISTHMUS festival. In this period, there are first fans, fan clubs and interviews. Journalists ask a question about what "Stigmata" is. This, as the soloists assure, is an alternative metal that lies at the basis to which they add drive and acoustics.

The main thing is not to stop

This rule the guys adhere to in their future work. They are completely absorbed in music: new songs, rehearsals, recordings ...

Since July 2005 the band has been busy with the second disc, later called "More than Love," and six months later there is a live DVD "Pieces of Life", which includes, in addition to the songs, behind-the-scenes footage, personal archive video, interviews. In the same year, drummer Nikita gives way to Philip, who moved from "Perimeter". In the updated composition of the team continues to work.

New opportunities

The group produces separate singles, participates in the annual award of alternative music, and so far it has not been chosen outside of St. Petersburg. The songs "Stigmata" sound on the opening of other bands, the rock festival "Wings" suggests playing on the same stage with "Alice" and "Pleymo". In 2007, the team is interested in Navigator Records, which offers recording and release of the third studio album, named for the band. Perhaps, this is one of the best albums, which confirms the large circulation, million downloads on the Internet and positive feedback from listeners and critics. "Stigmata" - a group that organizes a large-scale tour tour of neighboring countries, finds admirers not only in their homeland. At the end of the tour in St. Petersburg, the last concert is later released as a separate release.

By 2009, the band again undergoes a small change: new guitarists come to the place of guitarists. The team represents the record "My Way", accompanied by a title clip. Noting the changes, journalists attack the team with a single question: "What has become of" Stigmata "now?" This is a more saturated and dynamic sound, deep lyrics and interesting arrangements. The group does not stand still, constantly improves, tries itself in something new, which, undoubtedly, can not go unnoticed.

Until 2012, the band toured, including the Far East, Siberia, Belarus, and also performs a lot in Moscow clubs and festivals, among them "The Neighboring World", "Invasion", "Windows." The song "September" Radio Maximum ".

The subjects of the songs - on real events

Until September 2012, "Stigmata" releases singles "Up to the ninth stage" and "Kamikaze", and also clips them. Later, the presentation of the plate "Based on real events" takes place. A year later the collective goes on a tour dedicated to the 10th anniversary of creative activity. At concerts the soloists give the opportunity to the audience to choose the compositions themselves.

To date, the band has not released any more albums. But I tried myself in an acoustic version, giving concerts in two Russian capitals. Perhaps the next record will be sustained in the same vein. It remains to wish creative success, because "Stigmata" is a group that is rightly considered a worthy representative of its direction.
