Sinuphort: instructions for use

The drug "Sinuforte" is designed to treat various inflammatory diseases that occur in the nasal sinuses. At the heart of the medicine is the extract and juice of the European cyclamen. When the drug falls on the mucosa of the middle nasal passage, it can cause reflex secretion of the paranasal sinuses and the entire mucosa. Such stimulated hypersecretion is observed within an hour.

The preparation "Sinuforte": instruction (indications for use)

The medicine is prescribed by the attending physician for chronic and acute forms of sinusitis (including in sinusitis, etmoiditis, frontal sinuses, polysynusitis, sphenoiditis), as well as for rapid rehabilitation after endoscopic operations. In such cases, in order to reduce edema of the mucous membrane, the drug is prescribed only on the second day after the operation.

The drug is used by adults and children over the age of twelve. Note that the preparation "Sinuforte" for children is prescribed only from the age of 12 years. The single dose is 1.3 mg. When you press the bottle, two or three drops of the medicine are sprayed, which is one single dose. As a rule, in the prepared solution "Sinuforte" contains 38 doses.

The drug is injected once a day, by pressing the dispenser once, into each nasal sinus. Depending on the indications, the medicine can be prescribed daily or every other day. The duration of treatment depends on the frequency of admission. So, if the patient takes it every two days, the course of treatment is from 12 to 15 days, if every day - from 6 to 8 days.

In order to prepare the solution, the cap is unscrewed from the bottle and the plug is removed. Then the upper part breaks off and the vial is opened. The contents of the vial are poured into a vial of lyophilizate. Then the dispenser is screwed onto the vial. The bottle must be shaken well before dissolving the powder.

To receive the drug "Sinuforte" from the dispenser the protective cap is removed. Two or three pressures must be done in the air. Then the nebulizer is inserted into the nostril in the vertical position of the head, and one click is made. Remember that at the moment of pressing, you need to hold the air.

The drug is contraindicated in rhinosinusopathy of allergic origin, arterial hypertension, acute allergic reactions in the nasal mucosa and face area. Do not prescribe the drug to children under 12 years, as there is very little data on the safety and efficacy of the Sinuphort medication at this age. Other contraindications include cystic-polyposis rhinosinusitis, the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding, and sensitivity to the substances that make up the drug.

If the rules for taking Sinuforte are not observed, and if it is used in the presence of the above contraindications, various side reactions may occur. These reactions include local disorders (burning in the nose, redness of the face, drooling). Less common short headaches. If the solution gets into the eyes, it is possible to develop strong irritation or an acute form of conjunctivitis.

Do not take the medicine with local anesthetics, because its effect is weakened. The drug may be prescribed with drugs that have anti-edematous effect.

At the moment, cases of drug overdose are unknown. There may be a burning sensation and pain in the nasopharynx. Strengthening of the therapeutic effect with increasing the dose is not observed.

Keep the medicine "Sinuforte" in a dark inaccessible place at a temperature of up to 25 degrees Celsius. From pharmacies is dispensed without a doctor's prescription. However, before taking the drug should consult an otolaryngologist and read the manufacturer's annotation.
