Sights of Serbia ... What do we know about them? After all, not so long ago, this state was not considered a popular tourist destination, and a few travelers, if they got here, it is rather accidental. Section 3. Sights of Serbia: Nis, Novi Sad and Subotica

The city of Nis has an amazing fate, which was due to its unusual location: at the crossroads between western and eastern countries. And modern Serbian children are still enthusiastically listening to fairy tales and legends connected with this region and preserved to this day.

Ancient monasteries, amazing world-famous structures (the Death Gate, the Oars Tower), the early Christian crypt in the vicinity of the city, the Byzantine and early Christian basilicas, the thermae - all this attracts many travelers every year, fascinated by the study of the past.

But on this amazing sights of Serbia do not end. In the capital of Vojvodina, the city of Novi Sad, is the fortress of Petrovaradin.

The city is, as it were, specially organized so that travelers would like to visit it again and again. Currently, in this village there are magnificent high-class hotels, equipped in accordance with all the requirements of modern tourists, and delicious and inexpensive lunch can be in one of the restaurants decorated in a medieval style.

In Novi Sad, first of all it is recommended to visit the museums of the Revolution, Painting and Archeology. Of great interest is also the visit of the Franciscan monastery of St. Ivan Capistran and the Military Hospital of Petrovaradin.

In Subotica, which is located in the north of the country, not far from the Hungarian border, half the population, besides the Serbian, also owns the Hungarian language.
