Sergey Sedov: Contemporary Children's Literature

Writer Sergei Sedov - the famous author of modern Russian fairy tales. His works are highly appreciated by the most complex group of readers - these are children who, believe me, are very difficult to please. They like interesting stories, with jokes, wonders, funny adventures, brave heroes and terrible villains. And they do not endure any falseness.

Sergey Sedov: biography

Sergei Anatolievich Sedov was born on August 24, 1954 in Moscow. Family: father - military pilot, mother - economist. Education: MGPI, 1981 edition. After the institute he worked in the school in his specialty, but six months later he changed his occupation and got a job as a janitor. Worked as a model, a teacher-organizer in the housing office.

Later Sergei Sedov began to write amazing tales that many magazines like "Ogonyok", "Tram", "Murzilka" liked to taste. For the first time his works were published in 1987 in the newspaper "Family".

Since 1991 - a member of the Writers' Union of Moscow.

There is no information about personal life.

Creation

Sergei Sadov wrote shortly, but in lots. That is, it tells about the same hero, but in different situations. The first printed book - a series of stories "There Was a Lyosha," 1989, about a boy who knew how to turn into everything. Since then, his books and individual tales have been printed with enviable constancy: "Fairy tales about kings" (1990), "Fairy Tales of the Snake of Gorynych" (1993), "Fairy tales about fools" (1993), "Incredible adventures and Travel Zaitz Zaitsev "(2000)," Tales of the Children's World "(2008) and many others.

Sergei Sedov regularly became a participant in various literary projects for children. For example, the Moscow mayor's office ordered from Sedov and Marina Moskovina to write fairy tales about the life and adventures of the most beloved New Year's character - Father Frost. Later these stories came out as a separate book. It was not the first joint work of a creative duo - earlier writers for more than 10 years had been composing comic books about Lyonya and Lyusya for the magazine Murzilka.

He also writes scripts for cartoons ("About the fool Volodya", "Terrible materials", "About our president"), script for movies, poetry and prose for adults Sergei Sedov. The author's photo can be seen in our article (above).

A little about the illustrations

It should be noted that the illustrations for most of his books are usually simple, almost caricatured. However, they fit perfectly into the plot and characters of the characters.

The author's most controversial book

The book "Fairy tales about mothers" was printed in 2010. It is a collection of short stories about the most different mothers - bold, kind, lazy, alien moms and alcoholic mummies. One story is one mom, with her story, sometimes funny, more instructive and a little sad.

Should I read such books to children? Many readers believe that this work is designed for an adult audience, others do not see anything wrong with the fact that the child will see the negative aspects of life, and are ready to talk with him about it. Most of them adhere to the golden mean: they are reading stories from the collection to children, but some of them are left for themselves.

In fact, Sergei Sedov tried to go beyond the framework of traditional children's literature in this collection , and the work turned out to be controversial: a little strange, maybe not very childish, but very kind and somewhere even wise, which causes simultaneously a feeling of pity for some children and Pride for many moms.

Books not only for children

Do you like fairy tales? It seems that in childhood everyone liked to listen to good stories, in which good characters always cope with other troubles. But later, when you begin to read the same books to your children, you understand how many horrors they have written, for example, here are some quotes: "The prince's eyes were torn out" (Rapunzel), "cut out the heart of the princess" ("Snow White"), Or "the owner was going to drown the dog" ("The Bremen Town Musicians"). Of course, today there are many adapted modern publications, where everything is smoothed out, without any frank details.

Someone can say that you need to read Russian folk tales, but there, if you remember, it's not all smooth either: "chopped the good of the young man to pieces," "he took his head off his shoulders," "cut off his hands first, then his legs."

There are no such phrases in Sedov's books: his stories are not always funny, some people can reflect on some, but he is well versed in child psychology and understands what one can tell a child, and what should not be mentioned.

However, every mother must decide which fairy tales to read to a child.
