Seaside Safari Park - a place where friendship works wonders

The Primorye Territory with its amazing natural landscape has long been loved by tourists. The harsh and majestic Ussuri taiga, rushing mountain rivers, rumbling waterfalls and the cleanest lakes with flowering lotuses attract travelers with their beauty. Shkotovsky district of Primorsky Krai, famous for its waterfalls (Tiger, Far and Unexpected), boasts another attraction - Safari Park. Animals are contained here without cells, and you can observe them under conditions close to natural ones.

Safari Park (Primorsky Territory)

Opening of the park took place in 2007, and initially its main inhabitants were deer, roe deer and musk deer saved by people. The range of pets is constantly expanding and replenished with new species. Now, for a comfortable stay of animals, about 5 hectares of forest are fenced. Five species of ungulates have at their disposal three parks, two summer and winter ones. Seaside Safari Park also has representatives of predatory animals, for them fenced areas of the forest, where they live and freely walk in natural conditions. The feathered kingdom is represented in the park by a variety of birds, including 15 predatory species, they are kept in special enclosures.

Ungulates

Roe deer, spotted deer, red deer, hybrid deer and wild boar freely move through the territory of the three parks. Animals are contact, therefore, walking paths, they can be fed and photographed. Immediately you can meet rabbits and squirrels, who willingly take refreshments from human hands. Food for animals Seaside Safari Park provides visitors free of charge. There are restrictions to avoid disturbing the ecosystem of the animal habitat, park visitors are forbidden to deviate from the route and leave the path.

Predators

Himalayan bears, foxes, Far Eastern forest cats, red and gray wolves, otters, raccoon dogs, badgers and raccoon raccoon are kept in the territory reserved for predators. They are best watched in the morning, when animals walk and frolic, after feeding, as befits predators, they go to bed, choosing a place to be more humble. The exception, however, is the raccoon and otter, they so skillfully beg for refreshments, that the park's employees do not forbid them to feed.

Predator birds

The park contains 15 species of birds of prey: white-tailed eagle, black-tailed goshawks, buzzard buzzard, common buzzard , eared owl, marsh owl, black kite, long-tailed owl, filigree, moongopod mound and several species of the falcon family. Tigers in the Primorsky Safari Park

Especially popular is the park of tigers. This is a fenced area of the forest, divided into two parts. Tigresses Taiga and Ussuri live in the same territory, mostly conflicts between them do not arise, but sometimes young ladies can quarrel because of a more delicious piece of meat. Tiger Amur until recently lived in proud solitude. For Ussuri tigers, visitors can watch from the scaffolds located at a safe height. The animals are most active in the morning, before eating. Probably, this behavior caused respect for the Amur, the goat stopped being considered a victim and was transferred to the category of equal predators. The courage of the herbivore delighted not only the tiger, but also the employees. In the Primorsky Safari Park, the goat for its unyielding character was named Timur. Now these two live in the same territory. Despite his courage, Timur respectfully regards the strength of the Cupid and takes it as a leader. Employees of the park say that the goat has its own covered place to sleep, but often Timur does not want to leave his comrade. Therefore, next to the cage of the Amur, a straw litter was built for Timur.

New inhabitant

In January 2016, the Primorsky Safari Park was replenished with a new inhabitant, a young male leopard was brought from the Prague Zoo. In February, the predator was already allocated territory, and after a medical examination and a quarantine of the leopard, visitors could see. While he lives alone, but the park's management plans to buy him a girlfriend.
