Check the tension

Once every 15 thousand kilometers you need not only look at the condition of the belt itself, but also check its stretch so that it does not jump to the tooth. So, dismantle the timing cover and use a key with a long collar to turn the crankshaft pulley by 1 turn clockwise. Properly tensioned belt should be rotated 90 degrees from the force of the fingers, applied between the camshaft pulleys and the crankshaft.

What if the belt is weak? Remove the tensioning nut nut. Turn it counter-clockwise by 10-15 degrees. If there is no special switch, you can use 2 drills. Install them in the holes of the roller and twist the last screwdriver. What next? Tighten the nut of the roller fastening and again check the tension. If the element is tightened, turn the nut clockwise.
