Regulon and pregnancy. Basic rules for taking the drug

"Regulon" is an oral hormonal contraceptive that increases the viscosity of cervical mucus, blocks ovulation and inhibits the introduction of a fertilized egg into the endometrium.

"Regulon" and pregnancy - things are incompatible, because this drug is contraindicated in pregnancy. Of course, the occasional use of hormonal contraceptives in early pregnancy usually does not cause gene mutations or other vices and abnormalities in the development of the embryo. However, there is a risk, moreover, it significantly exceeds the benefit of taking Regulon.

The probability of pregnancy during the reception of "Regulon"

Hormonal oral contraceptives can inhibit the growth of the endometrium. At the same time, a fertilized egg can not attach to it, which is then removed from the uterine cavity during menstruation. However, if the oocyte managed to infiltrate the endometrium, which happens, of course, against the background of taking Regulon is extremely rare, then all the processes that are necessary to maintain pregnancy are launched.

Many women often wonder: Can I get pregnant by taking Regulon? Like any other contraceptive, the risk of pregnancy with regular regular admission is extremely small - it is one hundredth of a percent. Most often, you can get pregnant if you violate the rules of admission. The most common mistake is missing the Regulon pill, and pregnancy in this case is more likely.

In order not to get confused in the schedule, it is necessary to take this drug at the same time of day. The admission pass is considered if more than twelve hours have passed since the appointed time. If the time interval is less, you can drink the missed tablet before the expiry of this period. In this case, the "Regulon" reception cycle is not violated.

If the contraceptive cycle is disrupted, spontaneous ovulation is possible due to a spike in hormones in the woman's body. And this is exactly what happens if you miss the time of taking at least one tablet.

Fertilization of the egg is most likely within six to seven days after ovulation, so at this time it is necessary to use barrier methods of contraception, for example, diaphragms or condoms. However, it is better to be safe and instead of one week use these methods for two weeks.

If vomiting or diarrhea occurs within twelve hours after taking Regulon, it is unlikely that it has absorbed itself in the body. In this case, it is necessary to do the same as with the admission of the "Regulon" tablet, and pregnancy will not occur. That is, we need to use barrier methods of contraception.

It should be remembered that taking certain medications simultaneously with "Regulon" can reduce its contraceptive effect. These can be anticonvulsants (carbamazepine, phenytoin), phenobarbital derivatives, some tranquilizers and extended-spectrum antibiotics (tetracycline, ampicillin and others). To reduce the likelihood of pregnancy, it is worth, as in the above cases, to use condoms.

Contraceptive "Regulon" and pregnancy after its abolition

If the drug was taken for a long time, you should consult your doctor about the need to take vitamins during pregnancy planning. Pregnancy after taking "Regulon" can occur both in the first menstrual cycle, and after six months, and even a year after the abolition of the contraceptive. In this case, it all depends on the body of the woman who took the "Regulon".

After drug cancellation, as a rule, there are no negative effects on the fetus, because just one day after the last tablet was taken, all the components are taken out of the female body without a trace. And yet it is recommended to refuse to take "Regulon" at least three months before the proposed pregnancy.
