Who are pygmies?

These tribes live in the equatorial forests of Africa, near the rivers of Congo, Ogooue and Ituri. There are about 80 thousand Pygmies, half of whom live near the banks of the Ituri River. The growth of representatives of these tribes varies from 140 to 150 cm. The color of their skin is somewhat untypical for Africans, because they have a little lighter, golden brown. The buildings in which representatives of this people live are made of twigs and leaves, clinging all together with clay. Life style

A typical pygmy is a forest nomad that does not stay in one place for a long time. Representatives of these tribes live in one place for not more than a year, while around the village there is game. Therefore, the entire tribe, if one of its members is dead, migrates, believing that the forest does not want anyone living at this place. Extraction

Pygmies feed by giving them a forest. Therefore, in the early morning, the tribe women go there to replenish their supplies. On the way, they collect everything edible, from berries to caterpillars, so that every single Pygmy person is full. This is a well-established tradition, according to which a woman is the main earner in the family.
