Preparation "IRS 19": instructions for use

"IRS 19" is an immunostimulating drug of bacterial origin. The medicine is available in the form of a nasal, transparent, colorless spray with a specific odor. The main active elements are bacterial lysates.

When spraying the drug, an aerosol is formed covering the nasal mucosa. Spray very quickly develops a local immune response. Locally formed antibodies cause specific protection and prevent fixation and reproduction of infectious pathogens on the mucous membrane. Nonspecific protection is caused by an increase in the phagocytic activity of microorganisms of macrophages and an increase in the content of certain enzymes.

The drug "IRS 19" is applied to the upper respiratory tract with intranasal aerosol administration of a single dose. One dose is sprayed with a single click of the atomizer.

Indications for use:

- preventive measures ;

- treatment of chronic and acute forms of diseases of the upper respiratory tract (for example, rhinitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, tracheitis and others);

- recovery after illness, preparation for surgery, postoperative period.

Dosage

If the drug is prescribed for prophylactic purposes, adults and children from three months are administered one dose of the drug "IRS 19" twice a day for two weeks. Preventive measures should be taken about two weeks before the possible increase in the incidence rate.

If the drug is prescribed for the treatment of chronic and acute diseases of the bronchi and upper respiratory tract, children are given one dose twice a day, children after three years and adults two to five times a day until all symptoms of infection disappear completely. Spray "IRS 19" is advisable to take to restore immunity after a previous acute respiratory disease (eg, influenza), as well as in preparation for the planned operation and in the period after surgery. In the latter cases, the dosage is determined by the attending physician.

Mode of application

To ensure that the aerosol can function properly, you need to put a nozzle on it and gently press it. Now the design is ready for use.

Remember also that when spraying into the nose, the bottle should be in a vertical position, and the patient's head should not be thrown back! Otherwise (if the balloon is tilted), the propellant will leak out and the device will immediately become unusable.

If you use the drug "IRS 19" regularly, the nozzle from the bottle can not be removed.

Contraindications and side effects

The drug is contraindicated in autoimmune diseases, as well as people with increased sensitivity to individual components of the drug. Spray "IRS 19" during pregnancy is better not to use, since there is very little data on the effect of the drug and its components on the fetus and its development. It is believed that the drug may have a teratogenic or toxic effect on the child.

In cases of intolerance, side effects may occur, the most common among which are various dermatological and allergic reactions, reactions from the respiratory system (cough) and digestive system (nausea or vomiting, diarrhea). At the beginning of treatment, the temperature can be increased.

Store the product in a vertical position in a dark, childproof place at a temperature of no more than 25 degrees Celsius. Shelf life of the drug is three years. The balloon itself should be kept away from fire and direct sunlight, it can not be pierced and burned.
