Postmenopause, what is it and how to cope with it?

For many women who have reached the age of 40-45 years, there comes a difficult period of life, called "climacteric". Usually this period of time lasts from 10 to 15 years.

The climacteric period includes three stages: premenopause, menopause and postmenopause. What are these stages, we will consider a little more in detail.

Premenopause is the first precursor of climacteric syndrome, it is often accompanied by fatigue, irritability, drowsiness, weakness, headache, frequent depressions.

During the menopause, the level of sex hormones decreases, and menstruation ceases. As a rule, their absence within half a year does not lead to renewal.

So, we have come to the most important. Postmenopause - what is it?

Usually it comes from the age of fifty and lasts the rest of your life. At this stage, the female body is reducing the female sex hormones produced by the ovaries, and the ability to procreate is lost.

The next question is: "Postmenopause - what is it? Disease or the usual condition of a woman to whom you should get used?"

The lack of sex hormones leads to dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, so wrinkles become noticeable, start to fade and thin out the hair.

Diminished size of the uterus and the amount of mucus from the cervical canal, which eventually disappears completely. The shape of the mammary glands changes, their flabbiness is observed.

The presence of the above signs suggests that the woman has a postmenopause. That this is just such a period, can also speak of urine output when coughing, runny nose, laughter, and frequent inflammation of the kidneys, bladder, etc.

Bloody discharge in postmenopause is seen as a symptom of malignant formation. Therefore, a thorough examination of the patient is necessary.

The main cause of blood discharge is a cancer of the vessels of the cervix, also bleeding can be due to ovarian tumors. Later, in 6-7 years, cardiovascular diseases develop, quite often a woman overtakes such a disease as osteoporosis.

It is very painful for many postmenopausal women. The treatment necessary to improve the general condition of the body often involves the introduction of hormones similar to those of the sex. This type of therapy is effective in late postmenopausal periods. Such treatment is carried out to prevent serious diseases of the cardiovascular system. However, there is an opinion that prolonged hormonal therapy increases the likelihood of developing cancer.

If there are contraindications to the use of this method of therapy, doctors recommend fortifying agents, such as vitamins, physical education, as well as a balanced diet. It is important to remember that during the period of postmenopause, there is a restructuring of the whole organism, associated with a lack of hormones.

In the normal course of menopause, changes occur gradually, and the body adapts to new conditions more easily.
