Pork soup - tell the children a fairy tale

It so happened that at home we rarely dine. On weekdays, children eat first in kindergarten, my wife and I at work, using the services of nearby cafeterias. On weekends, we are most often invited to dinner with one of our moms. Grandmothers take away the soul, preparing raznosoly for kiddies: the first, the second, and the third in the form of compote with pancakes, well, or something like that. In those rare cases when we have dinner at home, the wife prepares. Thus, I have not yet encountered the need to prepare the first dishes, that is borscht or soups, specializing mainly in the preparation of meat, sometimes some desserts.

And so, on the eve of the next weekend, his wife says that their company arranges a sortie into nature, and all the employees go to rest for the city. I have nothing against corporates, I tell her: go, relax. But only at the same time my mother called and said that she had caught cold, and her mother-in-law worked on that day - in general, the children are on me.

Well, with breakfast and dinner I can manage, but what about dinner, children do need to be hot? Where ours did not disappear, went to do an audit in the refrigerator. Of meat only pork frozen - pulled, set to unfreeze. So, there will be a very delicious pork soup. Then he checked the vegetables: for example, there is potatoes (whole bag), there is onions, carrots, the greens are frozen in the freezer, there are spices there, even the root of parsley found (from last cooking a couple of roots left). It remains for my mother to call and find out how she cooks pork soup there.

He phoned back, the mother gave a valuable idea: the children are small, the first is not always eaten with a hunt, but if you make small meatballs from pork forcemeat, you can write a whole story about them. They live in a dish, like in the sea, small fish (sea hedgehogs, crabs, whoever they want), and we will be brave fishermen, now we will drop our fishing-spoons and catch all the fish to one. Pre-school children will appreciate both a fairy tale and meatballs. With older children it's easier - here the main thing is that it's delicious.

The idea took on arms, the recipe dictated by his mother, put in front of him and began to prepare soup from pork with vermicelli.

As soon as the meat was thawed (and I helped him a little, cutting it into pieces and putting it in cold water), I ground the meat in a meat grinder twice. Pork I took 300 grams. He added yolk to the stuffing, a clove of garlic crushed, slightly peppered, sprinkled a little, rubbed the cracker on a grater and filled it with a small amount of boiling water, so that the rusks swelled, and there too. Finished minced meat took a spoon a little, flipped slightly in flour and formed small balls, and then threw them into boiling water in a saucepan.

When all the meatballs were immersed in boiling water, I added some leaves, parsley root and a cleaned onion, which I pierced through a couple of places with a sharp knife. Children do not like me swimming onions in soup, and a bulb, cooked entirely, gives its juice to the broth, and then it can be easily pulled out.

The next in the pork soup are vegetables, but in a certain order. I took 4 potatoes and cut them into small cubes so that they fit into the children's mouth. He threw everything into a pan. Carrot chose one big one. She cut off a third, cut it with thin plates and cut out a few stars. We got another underwater inhabitants - sea stars. The rest of the carrot was rubbed on the grater and extinguished for 10 minutes in a frying pan with vegetable oil. Then I put the contents of the frying pan into a saucepan, where my pork soup was boiled.

With vegetables, I figured out, it was the turn of the pasta. At home I found a special, thin vermicelli, already finely chopped - the perfect option for my soup. One nuance - the pasta should be from solid varieties of wheat, otherwise they will develop and turn into porridge.

After 7 minutes, as soon as the vermicelli cooked, I turned off the soup. He tossed the chopped parsley into a saucepan and squeezed half a lemon. He poured pork soup with meatballs (fish) on plates, called the guys at the table - and the fairy tale began! Of course, ate, of course, everything, as much behind his ears popped.
