The Philharmonia (Kemerovo) was opened in hard military years. Already in the 21 century, she received the name of the great Russian bass Boris Shtokolov. Her poster offers viewers various concerts, season tickets, performances both by the artists of the Philharmonic itself, and by the guests of the city.

History

Philharmonia (Kemerovo), photo of the building of which is presented in this article, began its creative career in 1943. So strong was the desire of the inhabitants of the city to art, that even in that difficult time they were in desperate need of it. The Council of Deputies ruled to open a concert-variety bureau. It was headed by M. Lifits. The bureau conducted concerts, lectures, literary evenings. They passed on various sites of the city.

The bureau was renamed the Philharmonic in 1954. The repertoire has changed. There were their artists.

In 1979, the Philharmonic Society (Kemerovo) received its own building. Its opening took place on 19 January. On this day there was a festive concert. The first celebrity, invited to perform in the Philharmonic's own building, was Edita Piekha.

Today the staff of the Philharmonic Society numbers more than five hundred people.

Boris Shtokolov

The Philharmonia (Kemerovo) bears the name of the famous Russian opera bass Boris Timokeevich Shtokolov since 2008.

The singer was born in 1930 in the Kemerovo region. I started singing in my childhood, in the Kiev chapel, which at that time was in evacuation in Sverdlovsk. Boris Timofeevich graduated from the school of a young man, where he was a company singer. Then he served on a warship in the Baltic Sea. Then he again continued his education in a specialized school of the Air Force. There he was engaged in a vocal circle. His singing was heard by Marshal G. Zhukov and gave him orders to enter the Conservatory, since he considered that a young man with such a unique voice should sing, and there are so many military men in the country.

After graduation Shtokolov was a soloist at the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, then the opera and ballet theater there. In 1959 he was invited to Leningrad. There he became a soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, where he served until 1990. But since Boris Shtokolov was the world star of the opera, he performed at the sites of four continents.

B. Shtokolov played the roles of Boris Godunov, Ivan Susanin, Mephistopheles and many others. He was awarded a large number of awards, medals, orders, was awarded honorary titles.

Kemerovo Philharmonic, the singer's relatives left as a gift some personal belongings of this great artist. Here is the birth certificate, and even his concert dress coat.

The great Russian bass died in 2005 from a serious illness. Boris Timofeevich was buried at Volkovsky Cemetery. In the same place in 2008 he was opened a monument.
