Painting "Did not take a fishing" Oleg Popovich: a description of the main characters. The same canvas of Ksenia Uspensky-Kologrivova

Painting "Did not take a fishing" is familiar to all high school students, because in the fifth grade they are offered to write an essay on it. Drawing her Russian artist Oleg Popovich devoted his life to creating illustrations for children's magazines and books, so his canvas is more like a simple drawing in "Funny Pictures" or "Murzilka." Let's take a closer look at the picture, in order to understand what the master wanted to say with her help.

Characteristics of the main character

The description of the painting "Did not take a fishing trip" should begin with the characteristics of its main characters. On the canvas, the artist painted four people: one adult and three children. The main attention is attracted by the smallest character - a boy who does not look more than four years old. He stands and weeps bitterly, covering his wet reddened face with his little hand. The viewer immediately becomes clear that the karapuz hoped to go fishing with his father and older brother, but they did not want to take it with them. The kid until the last hoped that he would be taken, he even prepared a fishing pole and bucket for this purpose and got up early. But Dad found him too small and left at home under the supervision of his sister. The father is adamant in his decision, and children's tears are not capable of pitying him. He understands perfectly well that in an hour the karapuz will forget about his morning tragedy and get carried away by some interesting game.

Other characters

The older brother of the protagonist was much more fortunate. He looks about 12 years old. He goes fishing with his father and is terribly proud of it. The boy carries a fishing rod in front of him, like a precious trophy, and highs his head in front of a weeping brother. Behind him, he has a heavy backpack with gear, but he does not feel his weight. Judging by the reaction of the boy, the father takes him fishing for the first time. This is evidenced by the overly solemn appearance of the character. The boy follows his father and even tries to copy his gait.

The father of children is a serious and intelligent person. These qualities are very clearly conveyed the picture "Did not take a fishing trip." Popovich portrayed the father of the children concentrated and not paying attention to the hysterics of the baby. Dad is absolutely calm and unperturbed. He remembers if he took everything with him for fishing, and little things like the vagaries of the younger child do not bother him much. Behind him, he has the same backpack as his eldest son, and in his hands a yellow shopping bag. The rod is carelessly carried by the father on his shoulder.

The fourth heroine of the picture is the sister of boys. She looks about eleven years old. The girl is very much like her big brother. Fishing does not interest her, but she has to get up early to look after the baby. The girl looks at the brother with a sneer. She did not doubt that they would not take him for fishing. But the girl does not want to reassure the crumbs. Tired of his frequent hysterics, she simply watches him, folding her arms over her chest and carelessly twirling a flower in her palm. The sister knows: as soon as the elders disappear from sight, the baby will stop crying.

Additional elements, background and color scheme

While describing the picture of Popovich "Did not take a fishing trip," you must pay attention to the objects that surround the heroes. To revitalize his work, the artist painted on it carelessly put together from the boards old fence, which flaunts an old clay pot. From under the feet of the heroes, green grass and small red and blue flowers scatter in different directions . In addition to people in the picture there is one more character - a sparrow. Attracted by children's crying, he turns around under the feet of people, watching the scene with curiosity. Von Popovich left the whites. In this way, he wanted to focus the audience's attention on what is happening, without distracting him from extraneous details.

The color scheme immediately shows that for the children of junior and middle school age, the picture "Did not take a fishing trip" was written. Popovich at its creation used bright shades (green, yellow, blue, red), which are very popular with children. In the painting there is absolutely no black color, which makes it cheerful, sunny and positive. And even children's tears can not spoil this impression.

Picture of the Assumption-Collegiate

Figure Popovich often confused with the same cloth artist Xenia Uspensky-Kologrivova. Plots, like the names, in these two works are completely identical. But if the picture of Popovich reminds a children's drawing, carelessly drawn, the canvas of Uspensky-Kologrivova is written according to all the rules of Russian painting.

Description of the main characters

In the painting of the artist there are all the same characters: the karapuz, his brother, sister and father. The kid does not cry, but simply insulted pout and turned away from the family members leaving for fishing. He is ready at any moment to cry. In one hand the boy holds a children's bucket with accumulated worms, while the other one rubs his ear in confusion.

The elder brother and his father go fishing. Dad steps forward. Behind him he carries a backpack, and on his shoulder holds an oar. Fishing rods and small fishing gear, he trusted his eldest son. The boy follows his father and turns back mockingly, looking at the offended kid. In the eyes of his brother, there is no sympathy for the little girl. He is pleased with the fact that he is already quite an adult for fishing. There is no sympathy for the younger brother and the girl. She looked out the door of the old dilapidated house and looked at him with a smile. It is clear from all that the family in which children grow up lives poorly. This impression is intensified by the gloomy tones that prevail in the canvas.

Different ages - the same children

In the mid-1950s, the painting "Did not take a fishing trip" was painted. Uspensky-Kologrivova depicted on it the gray routine of a Soviet village that had not yet recovered from the devastating war. In the drawing of Popovich, the characters are children of the late 1980s. They are not familiar with military deprivation and, apparently, grow up in a well-off family. Popovich, drawing a picture of the canvas of Uspensky-Kologrivova, showed that children of different epochs share the same emotions and feelings.
