Origami Star

Origami star is very simple to perform and does not require a lot of material consumption. But be sure, this simple asterisk can be a real godsend in the design of the premises on weekdays and holidays.

Such an origami star has a plus in that it does not need expensive materials or special knowledge, just a few strips of paper.

As a basis, I took a paper strip 1 cm wide. From the strip in half a centimeter wide it will also be a nice star, but it will be too miniature. If you take a strip wider, the star will come out rough and sloppy, which is why the ideal value is about 1 cm wide.

The paper can be absolutely any, the journal, and tetrad, and any other is also suitable. I, for example, chose the packaging and wax paper (the picture does not really matter). Of the glossy colored magazines, too, are very beautiful stars - bright and very unusual! The paper that you have chosen can be beautiful only on one side, its underside will not be visible, and this is an undoubted plus of an asterisk.

Now take our paper and cut it with ribbons 1 cm wide. In the course of work, the cut strips are easier to glue into one, and then cut off, than using not too long strips of paper for this. Well, if there is a paper serpentine in your house, your work will be even easier.

The basis of an asterisk

The origami begins with a star in the form of a regular pentagon, made from a pre-prepared strip of paper. To do this, you need to fold the loop, through it to drop the tip and tie a knot from our strip.

And now the important point - the tape should not be too loose, but not too tight, so that the parts of the strip fit tightly to each other in the corners.

To the tail was not visible from this side, bend it back.

Now we begin to wrap the tape tightly enough. To finally hide the just-bent tail, we guide the end of the tape in his direction. That's how we got a wonderful origami star base - a regular pentagon.

We reel an origami starlet

The edges of the pentagon are bent tightly around the paper so that it does not spit. Then turn the tape inside out and point to the right and up, then bend around the side of the pentagon and let the tape go to the left and down. If you did everything correctly, the tape itself will fall in the right direction, then take it to the right.

When the origami consists of a very long strip, each side of the pentagon needs to be rounded a couple of times. If you have a tape about 30 cm in length, the pentagon should be bent as many times as the paper strips suffice.

Continue to bend around the edges of the pentagon, winding the tape.

We give the asterisk volume

When there is a very short tip of the tape, it must be secured by hiding the strips under the turn.

Now, when our five-pointed star origami is almost ready, there is a crucial moment in the work - you need to give it volume. It is convenient to make a nail by directing it across the middle of each side of the pentagon.

The other hand, meanwhile, keeps the workpiece beyond the edges (so that the asterisk becomes voluminous, you do not need to squeeze the planes of the rectangles). All sides try to bend to the center of the asterisk equally. The diameter of the finished star is 1.5 cm.

Origami star is suitable for decorating a Christmas tree, you can make a garland and decorate your house, paste on gifts or holiday cards, or you can just scatter them on the table. You can also take plastic or glass bottles of beautiful shape and fill them with asterisks, and you will get an original and attractive gift.

How to make a New Year starlet origami?

Origami "Christmas Star" - an excellent decoration of a gift box or Christmas tree. Small four-cornered stars of silvery color can decorate the walls of the room where the celebration will take place. Paper for the New Year star can be taken in any color, but it will be the most beautiful in golden, yellow or orange tone. Although if you want to coarse, you can make an asterisk of the most unexpected color - for example, striped (in naval style) or pophzhuyu on a floral meadow.

Technology of implementation:

1. Bend diagonally a square sheet of paper and unfold.
2. Fold and unfold the sheet of paper.
3. Bend the corners to the middle.
4. Turn and rotate the workpiece.
5. Fold a sheet of paper.
6. Fold it together again.
7. Bend diagonally first the lower right corner, then the lower left corner.
8. Repeat step number seven three times.
