On how to properly baptize

Being one of the largest world religions, Christianity came to us from the Greco-Roman world, in the era of people's loss of social and ideological unity, which teaches at the time of mass migration of Jews to Greece and Rome. In these difficult times for Jews, the former concept of "Kingdom" did not correspond to their current problems, therefore the birth of "Christianity" could occur in migration. Over time, it turned out that Christianity was divided into three confessions - Catholicism, Orthodoxy and Protestantism. If we touch on the question of how to be baptized correctly, then we can say that, depending on the confession, there are some differences in baptism.

So, in Orthodoxy today is used the three-folded cross sign. To start the image of the sign of the cross, it is necessary to fold the wrist correctly, namely, the first three fingers of it to be bent together. This symbolizes the unity of the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The remaining two fingers must also be pressed to the palm of your hand, which means the event when the Son of God came down from heaven, and also that Jesus has two entities - God's and human's. Thus, in depicting the cross, the hand should touch, first, the right shoulder, and after the left one. The right side in Christianity symbolizes a place for the saved people, that is, paradise, while the left side is a place for people who die, that is hell.

Considering in more detail how to properly baptize, we can note that this requires:

1. Attach three fingers bent together to the forehead, which symbolizes the illumination of thoughts, views and actions;

2. To lower your fingers to the level of the solar plexus, illuminating the soul, feelings and experiences;

3. Attach three fingers to the right shoulder, asking the Lord for forgiveness of sins and attribution to the saved righteous;

4. To transfer the hand from the right to the left, to the left shoulder, asking God to protect from the perishing sinners;

5. After baptism, one should bow, because the Calvary Cross was pictured on itself.

There is another version of how to correctly baptize from right to left . It is claimed that, using the sign of the cross, from right to left, the Christian, by the same token, closes his heart from the Devil.

In the literature of old years about the Law of God, one can find a description of the sign of the cross in such a way, when the lower end of the cross is to be made on the chest, which is represented by an inverted cross. This can not be done, since this cross is a symbol of evil forces.

Thus, considering how to properly baptize, we can say that a Christian with the sign of the cross asks God for salvation and deliverance from the fate of the perishing people. An Orthodox Christian tries to protect himself from the influence of evil forces, from troubles and misfortunes, from bad destiny and accidents. Long ago people turned to the church for salvation and deliverance from sins, the cross of Christ is part of the sacred mystery that opens the way to salvation.

Answering the question of how to be baptized correctly by the Orthodox , it should be noted that their main difference from Catholics is the fact that the latter portray the cross from left to right, thus opening the heart and letting the Lord God in.

The cross of Christ represents salvation, therefore the person who depicts it on himself becomes peaceful, because he has faith and hope for the future.

Undoubtedly, one should know how to be baptized correctly, because faith helps many Christians to experience life's difficulties, find the strength to go further, so using the signs of the cross is one way to get closer to the Lord, ask for help and protection from various troubles and failures. And it does not matter which confession a person belongs to, the main thing here is that he accepted the Lord God in his heart.
