Anton Shipulin: childhood, family

Anton was born on August 21 in the city of Tyumen in 1987. His family is athletic. Parents are masters of sports in cross-country skiing and biathlon. Mother - Alla Abushaevna, father - Vladimir Ivanovich.

Practically from the age of three Anton Shipulin together with two sisters Ana and Nastya, the first being his twin, were engaged in ski races. Their father was training. In addition, his son, Vladimir Ivanovich often took with him to the training camp.

Anton once in his childhood managed to play a variety of sports (including karate), but the genes took their toll, and he began to intensively engage in skiing. At the age of 15 he moved to biathlon. Since 2002, his parents arranged for him in SDYUSHOR in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk.

And Anton Shipulin, and his older sister (Anastasia Shipulina) are now Olympic champions. All this became possible due to sports hardening of parents. Children practiced quite a lot, and parents constantly taught them to discipline. Despite their strictness, they took into account the opinion of their children. Younger sister Anna did not become a skier, and her parents did not contradict her wishes.

Senior Anastasia now stands for the Slovak national team (although the parents were disappointed in this decision, but Anton supported it). Now she is one of the best in the world biathlon. The transition to the national team of another country helped her to reveal her sporting potential.

Promotion and success in sport

In 2006, Anton moved to the city of Yekaterinburg, where he began to work with coach Vladimir Putrov.

Training was not in vain. For 2 years (2006-2008) Anton Shipulin won in the European and World Championships at the junior level. As a result, he received an invitation to prepare for the competition in the main national team of the country.

Since 2008, all the world championships have been crowned with successes (a full set of medals) for a capable athlete, and the next Olympic cycle also could not do without Anton's rewards.

In 2010 he became a prize-winner of the Olympic Games (bronze), and in 4 years he became the champion of the Olympics. Anton performs well at the World Cup competitions. Today, the Russian skier is a recognized sportsman all over the world and a true pride of the national Russian team.

Anton Shipulin Foundation was established in 2010 after his return from the Olympic Games in Vancouver and visiting an orphanage in Irbit. He was so impressed by his visit that he decided to implement the idea of the fund, which was named the Fund for the Support of Sports in the Sverdlovsk region Anton Shipulina.

The main direction in his work is the support of a young generation who loves sports.
There are a lot of charity events in the foundation's work: support to the Youth Sports Center, assistance to orphanages, children's contests, sports events, auctions, etc.
