Molding in the middle group: the pedagogical and psychological aspects of conducting classes

If developed fine motor skills, then the child begins to speak earlier, clearly articulate words, understand logical tricky tasks. The best tool for developing the fingers is modeling! In the middle group, such occupations are more cognitive and professional in nature than in younger groups.

Features of the age of preschoolers 5 years

Five-year periods are characterized by curiosity, inquisitiveness of mind, attentiveness, activity and patience. Children listen to the conditions set by the teacher, and only then they start the task. It is easier for them to work with the material, tear and knead the pieces, since their muscles have grown stronger.

At this age, classes have 4 stages:

  1. "Do it as I" - the teacher shows how to do, the children repeat.
  2. "Do it from memory" - the children mold according to the old pattern, but from memory (for example, in the first lesson they did a hedgehog, in this lesson - a hedgehog).
  3. "Do the same as in the picture" - the children are given a picture or a sample of a figure that needs to be dazzled.
  4. "Do it yourself" - children are given the usual verbal instruction, which must be done without visual and demonstration materials.

Of course, children of the age of five do not yet know their fingers well enough, they find it difficult to connect the details among themselves without flattening plasticine and sculpt small items, but their crafts already look like real objects with appropriate proportions. In addition, with each lesson their skills are improved. The modeling in the middle group is closely connected with the study of the surrounding world, drawing, appliqué.

In any occupation or outing, the educator focuses on the form of the object, its details. For example, consider a tit around: a round head, an oval trunk, a flattened elongated tail and wings, a sharp-pointed beak, eyes, etc. That is, it is necessary to develop thinking in children and to learn to notice small details that will need to be reflected in their crafts.

The method of modeling in the middle group

Molding includes not only concrete classes with plasticine or clay, but a permanent job of the educator with children. That is, the teacher draws the attention of preschool children to forms, small details, when they walk outside when they read books, when they do didactic games. For example, on reading the form of vegetables, fruits, animals, dishes, etc., is disassembled.

The modeling in the middle group implies the sequence of classes:

  1. At the beginning of the school year the material is repeated. Fruit and vegetables are round shape. Children learn to work with stacks and fingers to pull out oblong "sausages".
  2. In winter, preschool children learn to create complex figures from different parts of round, oval and oblong forms. With the help of stacks learn to draw small features, fur to animals, feathers to birds, etc.
  3. By the spring of the Five-Year Plan they are trained to create objects from a whole piece, pulling out mass, and not tearing it into pieces.
  4. In summer, more often the classes are aimed at fixing the educational material.

Each DOW has its own program, so the number of classes for modeling, the material approved by the management and its content will differ. On average, modeling takes place at least once a week on a free basis, but there are also paid classes, which are called "Creative Workshop".

An invaluable role of modeling in the development of preschool children

American scientists have already proved that daily stamping exercises activate the work of the brain, in particular, the departments responsible for speech. Children start expressively pronouncing words, pronouncing clearer sounds, easier to master the alphabetic composition of words.

In our country, NK Krupskaya noted that molding in the middle group promotes the development of creative and artistic imagination, visual and figurative and abstract thinking, memory, broadens the horizon and emotional sphere, shapes observability and personal qualities (patience, independence, ingenuity, Initiative, discipline).

Mental development of the child takes place at the modeling classes due to the competently built pedagogical process and different material texture. Earlier in kindergartens, clay, clay, salted dough, sand and snow were used. Today, you can buy a variety of plasticine:

  • Plasticine for babies of a soft consistency changes colors when mixed, at room temperature it does not "boil";
  • Mass for modeling a smooth "wet" consistency (similar to a touch of silk) freezes two days after the manufacture of the craft;
  • Plasticine fine and coarse-grained of globules on an adhesive basis.

The child not only senses the different texture of the material, sees its different properties, but also makes various actions with it (sculpts crafts, creates a mosaic picture or plasticine painting). A purposeful activity of the teacher helps children to focus on small details. Consequently, molding in the DOW (middle group) contributes to the mental and creative development of children.
