Metro "Rybatskoe" - one of the most popular transportation hubs in St. Petersburg
Metro "Fisherman" is considered to be one of the most popular transport hubs in the Northern capital. The prerequisites for this are in fact quite a lot, both economic and purely technical. To date, the facility has been functioning for about half a century, and it is almost impossible to underestimate its role.
Section 1. Metro "Rybatskoe". general description
This is the southernmost underground station of the city on the Neva, which is located on Diesel Road, between the intersections with the streets of D. Ustinov and the Coastal. It has access to several streets of St. Petersburg - Diesel, Coastal, 1st Fisherman and 6th Fisherman's Passages, as well as a transfer to the railway station of the same name .
Section 2. Metro "Rybatskoe". History of the station
The authors of the construction project of Art. Metro Rybatskoe were made by architects A.S.Getskin, K.G. Leontiev and N.V. Romashkin-Timanov.
For the first time in practice, for the underground construction of tunnels connecting the station with railway platforms and residential micro-districts, an extrusion method was used, which allowed not to stop the trains' movement. And for the construction of the roof was used a folded 18 span span, which allows the installation of station structures.
Initially, the station was installed small escalators, designed to move people from the underground passage to the cash register. But during the major reconstruction in 2000-2001. They were replaced by ordinary staircases.
Section 3. Metro "Fisherman". Features of the station
The ground part of the object consists of three platforms - two straight side and one island, which is a service platform. The covered pavilion, in which the subway platform is located, is a part of the buildings belonging to the railway station of the same name. Railway platforms and a metro stop connect two underground pedestrian crossings. One of them is still inoperative.
Marble slabs of white and gray colors were used for facing the wall surfaces and pillars of the "Rybatskoye" station. The floor of the platforms is lined with polished granite. Thanks to the windows installed in the upper part of the building, there is enough lighting at the station in the daytime. Above the tracks in the northern part of the station there are balconies, but the passage through them is closed.
Studying all this in more detail, one can not help thinking about how many unusual and original constructions Peter has in himself. Metro "Rybatskoe" - another confirmation of this.
