Metro "Rechnoy Vokzal" in Moscow

The metro station "Rechnoy Vokzal" is located on the green branch of the Zamoskvoretskaya line of the Moscow metro. Residents and guests of the capital have used it for more than 50 years. Its name was obtained thanks to the Northern River Port, which is near.

For 2017 the station is the final point of the northern direction and one of the most overloaded. In connection with this, two more stations were designed and built: the Belomorsky and Dybenko.

The metro station "Rechnoy Vokzal" starts in Moscow - 5:40 am, towards the station "Alma-Ata". The usual interval of rolling stock movement is no more than 3-5 minutes.

There is a security and control service, and CCTV cameras are installed. The loudspeaker informs about the rules of use and actions in emergency situations.

Exit to the city

In accordance with standard projects, the station is faced with ceramic tiles, granite and red marble columns, has two standard glazed vestibules that face the Festival Street.

Leaving the first lobby, you can get to the shopping center "U Rechnoy", to the Leningrad highway and to the stops of the city land transport.

Bicycle parking is to the right of the second exit (76 m), next to the shopping center "Rechnoy". Another bicycle park is located 130 meters from the metro station "River Station" next to the Park of Friendship.

Dry closet - 120 meters from the station (paid), next to the Park of Friendship and bike park. You can visit the stationary bathroom in the building of the shopping center "Rechnoy", on the second floor (paid).

In the REC "Rechnoy" there are more than 200 boutiques, cafes, recreation areas, restaurants, parking. It is located on the right side of the second exit, and to the left of it - a building with trading floors and McDonald's.

After the second exit from the station. M. "River Station", on the territory of 51 hectares, is the famous Friendship Park, in the bookmark of which representatives from different countries of the world participated. It is one of the most beautiful places in Moscow, it has a lot of interesting monuments, monuments, sculptures, symbolizing friendship and memory of peoples. Its territory is equipped with benches elegant lawns, well-maintained flower beds, bicycle paths and everything necessary for a relaxing holiday in the shade of green alleys.

The northern river port is not far from the Leningrad Highway, and in order to get there, you need to get off the second exit of the metro station "River Station" (770 m) and head towards the Leningrad Highway. After passing through the Friendship Park, go down the transition and further - through the green park, focusing on a tall building with a spire - this is the North River Station of the Khimki Reservoir. At the dock you can admire the pleasure boats, breathe a light breeze and buy tickets for various water excursions and activities.

Interesting facts: fossils in the metro

In the red granite facing the metro station "Rechnoy Vokzal", paleontologists discovered shells of cephalopods believed to exist in the Mesozoic era.

On the columns of the station you can observe numerous shells of gastropods, ammonites, needle-feet, the shell of the sea urchin. Many fossils are only partially visible and almost merge with the surface, but if you look closely, you can see the structure of the partitions.
