That is why the religious and historical landmark received its beautiful name, and local residents often call the mosque "mother-of-pearl".

Similar to a huge gem, it was built by the emperor, who began his day with morning prayers. The luxury of the architectural masterpiece is amazing even for many tourists. It received the unofficial name of the Pearl Mosque.

A mini copy of the building in Delhi is Moti Masjid, built in Bhopal in the 19th century by the order of the Queen of the City. During the reign of Sikander Jahan Begum, there was a noticeable strong influence of the architecture of the Great Moguls, therefore this structure is of special interest for tourists.
