Lures for jig fishing, no doubt, can now be purchased in almost any fishing shop. However, the manufacture of the mandula with his own hands, which someone once made for himself in his garage conditions, is a tempting idea. Especially since the catching little thing, one that has already gained worldwide recognition among fishermen, is easy and simple. As the miracle-lure looks visually, you, of course, already know. And they use the mandula, as a rule, to catch such predatory fish as pike perch. But with success you can extract from the water and perch, pike and even a mighty catfish. And all thanks to its optimum responsiveness to the slightest spinning movements and the successful characteristics of the bait.

What do they usually do?

Mandules are usually made from the hands of pieces of polyurethane, which can be found everywhere, in a variety of pantries and balconies - among old things. Tourist carpets, women's slippers, flip-flops, some building materials, stationery and household goods - all this can be an excellent raw material for making the mandalas by hand (it is better to make several baits at once, in reserve and in place). It takes half an hour of your time to make them. And how nice it will be to catch the bait "hand-maid" - just do not pass! In addition, you can always choose the color, size, weight for personal preferences, and not follow the not very pleasant formula "take what they give."

What is a mandula?

Fishermen are subject to creativity. And they do much of the fishing arsenal, as a rule, with their own hands. Do not remain without close attention and popular today jigging with spinning. For this type of fishing, folk connoisseurs also make different baits. And one of them - the mandula on the pike with his own hands. This bait is synthetic, collected from three or even more parts. And at the base of it is a strong wire, passed through pieces of foamed polyurethane. Not only the pike is caught on the mandula: both perch and pike perch. Just for the predator of rivers and lakes, the bait should be slightly larger and heavier - and the principle of assembly and action remains the same.

Materials

The sculpting of the mandula with its own hands always begins with the selection of the source material and the corresponding tools for the craft. We need polyurethane foam. It is very suitable (as a deposit to get) pieces of heat insulation, a tourist rug, summer colored flip flops. Still need:

• Wire (diameter about 0.5-0.7 millimeters);
• Hooks (tees or twins);
• Rings or carbines for connection to the sinker;
• Themselves sinker (better "eared" to take);
• Wadded eared sticks, which are needed as an axial tube (they are successively replaced with chopsticks or empty rod pens);
• Material for the "tail" of the craft: New Year's rain, colored wool;
• For attaching jewelry - strong thread.

Instruments

You need a sharp clerical knife, scissors, instant glue (it should be waterproof, but not to corrode synthetics), pliers for making rings from wire, punches of various diameters, sharply sharpened, thin awl.

Manufacturing

The mandula on the pike with its own hands consists, as it were, of three segments. To understand the manufacturing process itself, we define their names by location to the jig-head: head; body; tail.

1. First we glue together the polyurethane plates with each other, alternating the color according to your preference (you can spy on branded baits that are sold in the store). If the material itself is thicker than one centimeter (for example, slippers are used), then the plates can be cut down without gluing together.
2. Sharp straws cut from polyurethane pieces of 10-12 multi-colored washers. On the axis (in the role it is most convenient to use an awl (knitting needle)), string the chopped washers (glue together). The head with the body for bait is obtained in length of 1.5 or 2 centimeters, and for the tail of the "fish" it will be enough to foam half a centimeter in thickness. The total length of the mandula, made by ourselves, thus, is about 5-7 centimeters for percids. And for a large pike perch, pike need to make bait for more. The Mandula on the pike, with its own hands pushed together - up to 10 or even 12 centimeters in length (on the "trophy" predator, for example).
3. Here, the set of washers is already formed, glued and strung on the axis. We begin its processing and grinding to give the desired shapes. The head with the body of the bait is cut out with a clerical knife in the shape of a cone, and the tail can be left in the form of a cylinder. Finish the workpieces with scissors. Ideal cone bait does not require, and small errors will give the mandula realism. To have a complete appearance, the elements of the frame are prepared. And hooks in the classic 2 pieces: one is located in the head, the second - in the tail of synthetic bait.
4. The first tee in the head is equipped with a wire in such a way that it has 2 rings. Front with the help of combination pliers we lower the hook's forearms to attach a sinker through the ring. The second ring at us leaves for a limit of a bend of a hook and serves for fastening with a body. In it we insert a piece of a plastic tube of an ear cane. The ends are slightly melted. Such a device will be needed to pass a wire that connects the head to the tail.

Assembly

When the elements are prepared, the mandula for the perch with its own hands is collected definitively. We put on the polyurethane cone on the tee in the head part with 2 wire rings. We put the workpiece on the tail tee too. Cut off the wire on the ring, which is located over the bends of the hooks, we produce a twist for fixation. Cut off the short end of twisting from the wire, and the longer we pass through the plastic tube in the cone of the mandula. With our hands, we put the tip of the wire into the ring of the tail hook, and also fix it by twisting. Next, we decorate the tail with a piece of New Year's rain or colored wool. These elements of decor can be fixed with a drop of glue "Moment" (water resistant). Mount the mandula to the carbine with the help of the ring of the winding (this manipulation can be performed directly on the spot of catching). Tackle is ready for fishing, and now you know what the manufacture of the mandula own hands (photo process see above).
