Lure for crucian carp depending on the season

Practically any fish has its own seasonal preferences in lure, which are related to weather conditions and the existing forage base in the pond. The lure for crucian carp is also chosen taking into account the time of the year.

With the warming of water in April just before spawning, whole flocks of this fish rush into small rivers for active feeding. At this time, such a bait is used for crucian carp as an animal bait, especially a dung worm. Many anglers, based on their own experience, know that the aromatization of the baits during this period is absolutely not effective, because the fish is more attracted by natural smells.

The situation changes completely after the spawning period is over. At this time, bait is used for carp with the addition of substances with a pungent odor. In this case, the bite is significantly increased.

The best flavor is vanilla, added at the rate of up to three grams per kilogram of bait. If the weather is warm, then from the middle of spring the crucian begins to react and to sweet fruit smells.

On hot days, fishermen prefer to catch on water with a strong current. At this time, due to the increased oxygen content in them, the catch is much more productive than in a weak current.

The bait for the crucian must be large enough in summer: it is a dung worm, steamed birch or wheat, canned corn. This is explained by the fact that the beginning of June is characterized by the presence of a large number of small fish. She actively devours the nozzle, even without letting it touch the bottom.

Therefore, lure in the summer should be prepared with a significant number of sufficiently large ingredients. This will attract large individuals and a few will scare away the various small inhabitants of the reservoir. Typically, in the summer months, plant bait is best for crucian carp, although the use of artificial and natural flavors also positively affects the result of the catch.

The weather conditions of the beginning of September differ little from the end of summer. But at the end of the month there is a noticeable cold snap. At this time, it is better to go fishing for a full day of light. The bait on the crucian at this time is already used somewhat different, of animal origin. They are worms, bloodworms, maggots. In lure in the autumn season, too, live ingredients are added. And in a cooler time it is desirable to slightly darken them, for example, using special dyes.

From the flavors fishermen are most used seasonings: dill, cumin, coriander. Although some ponds, mostly not freezing, are successfully used and additives with a sweet smell: chocolate or vanilla.

These observations on gastronomic preferences are common. However, each more or less experienced angler in time himself understands what bait to catch the crucian carp, not limited to one particular species. If the choice is made correctly, the extraction is necessarily interested in the proposed bait.

Although the crucian first tries the nozzle very carefully, with a sensitive tackle, its pecking is easy to notice. In this case, the behavior of the float is different: it can shake in place when the fish will try the bait, go aside or under the water when it raises it above the bottom.
