Lora Beloivan is a creative pseudonym of a well-known Russian writer and artist. She is also known as a prominent public figure. She is the head of the rehabilitation center for marine mammals.

Biography of the writer

Lora Beloivan was born in the Kazakh SSR in 1967. She was born in a small city of Petropavlovsk with a population of just over 200 thousand people.

From her native Petropavlovsk, she went to the Far East after school. In Nakhodka I entered a local vocational school. She received a diploma in the specialty "flight attendant on foreign vessels".

At the same time, Laura Beloivan continued to receive education. Having already started working, she entered the correspondence department of the Faculty of Journalism of the Far Eastern State University. Worked at the same time in the local shipping company.

Working career

The journalist's career attracted Laura Beloivan more than work in the shipping company. While still studying at the Faculty of Journalism, she began to actively cooperate with various local and federal publications.

In particular, she worked in the regional representation of the ITAR-TASS news agency, which was based in Vladivostok, was the correspondent of the RIA Novosti news agency in Primorsky Krai.

Cooperation with various media continues to this day - writing in newspapers and magazines of regional and federal level. This often uses aliases. Its real name - Larisa Gennadievna Beloivan - almost never uses it.

Works of Beloivan

Beloyivan started her novels when she lived in Petropavlovsk. In 2006 her first major work, Little Hnya, was released. This is a collection of stories and stories of the author.

In this work, she manifests herself as a writer of desperation. And not because it relates to life, dropping its sleeves, but only because it lives on the very outskirts of the country - among gulls and port docks, not being afraid of anything in the world. Is that fly by plane.

Laura Beloivan's book Little Hnya is easy to read and scary at the same time. And once it is worth mentioning that in the stories and stories of the author there are many words that are often called unprintable. But it is in this language that sailors go on a long voyage. They often become heroes of the works of Beloyivan. In "Little Henna" you understand how varied and boundless the Russian language is. It is as limitless as the Pacific Ocean.

"Fifty-first winter Nathanil Wilkin"

In 2009, another collection of her stories was published, which was called "The Fifty-First Winter of Nafanil Wilkin."

In their reviews criticism notes that these are funny, simple and at the same time extremely truthful stories. In all the stories there is a cross-sectional character named Nathan. This is a classic folk narrator, akyn and bytopisatel. His epic songs reflect all the interesting things that are in the world around us. Nothing hides from his keen eye and ear. He is very sensitive to language, including obscene language. Therefore, obscene expressions in this novel again quite a lot, so that zealots of pure language, he does not fit.

"Carbide and ragweed"

In 2012, the writer became a laureate of the prestigious literary award "NOS". This is a domestic literary prize, established by a famous businessman and politician Mikhail Prokhorov. Every year it is handed to authors who write in Russian.

In the short list of the prize was a collection of Beloyivan "Carbide and ambrosia". This time the text contained a half dozen stories about a specific Russian village - South Russian Ovcharovo. A few years earlier Beloivan had the same cycle of short stories.

The inhabitants of this village are rather unusual people. Their whole life goes hand in hand with the fishes. They catch them, walk on them, constantly think about them or, conversely, do not know anything about the fish. These are extremely unusual stories, but this is why they are so attractive to the reader. In addition, it turns out that the fish in this book has nothing to do with it.

Another of her works, "Suitcase novel", published in the publishing house "Exmo", was nominated for the award of Sergei Dovlatov.

Collections of the series FRAM

The popularity to the author, to which this article is devoted, came after Beloyivan began to be published in the collections of the FRAM series. This is the original literary project of the publishing house "Amphora" and Max Fry.

Initially, it was conceived as a way to popularize the modern story. Over time, it turned into something much more. The first experiments were ordinary collections or anthologies. Over time, books began to appear, filled with works that were written specifically by various Russian-speaking authors for this project. At the same time they were united by one theme or style. In this case, often the same characters wandered from the story of one author in the story of another.

This project has united Russian-speaking writers from Russia, Israel, the United States and many other countries. Often ideas for a new collection were invented collectively, by all authors at a time.

In 2006 Beloyivan published the story "Shirinka". Also there were her works "Critical games on the night of the full moon", "I agree", "The last reader", "Kosen", "Gestyrnak", "Downshifting". One of the most popular was the story "Seven Stars" from the cycle "South Russian Ovcharovo".

It tells the story of the life of the classic hero of the writer's work called Zhmy. His fate was once predicted by a gypsy in anticipation of an electric train. Since then, everything is somehow coming true. According to the story "Seven Stars" you can generally judge the work of Beloyivan.

Painting

Not only prose is fond of the heroine of our article, but also painting. Her unusual and original paintings are now kept in private collections in Russia and abroad.

One of the domestic publishers even produces so-called author's prints based on her work. Extremely popular series "Cats and different people" and "Fish does not speak."

Caring for animals

Also Beloivan is known as the creator of the rehabilitation center for marine mammals. Before opening it, she even passed an appropriate internship in America, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Beloyivan herself tells that she first met a lonely cub of a seal when she was walking with a dog. It happened in Vladivostok. She took him home. Even despite the fact that she lived at that time in an ordinary city apartment. The seal had to be kept in the bathroom.

Soon her idea of rescuing marine mammals caught fire and her husband. Together they moved to the village of Tavrichanka, where they opened a specialized "sealer". Here they could already, under appropriate conditions, care for and save the young from death and disease.

A special rehabilitation center they created in 2007. It still works. Belovan provides assistance in saving marine mammals to the spouses of the Far Eastern Institute of Biology.

In 2012 the center achieved the first tangible results. Immediately four pinned-up pupils managed to be put on their feet. The employees of the center let them go free. The following year, as many as five young ones, popular in these parts, seal seals were rehabilitated on the basis of the village of Tavrichanka. Since then, young people have regularly come to the center, thrown ashore, injured or sick. All of them without exception are all the necessary assistance and support, until they are fully restored.
