Linnaeus northern is an evergreen shrub plant, a resident of the tundra, dark coniferous (less often deciduous) forests, an alpine belt; Is distributed in North America, Europe, Asia, on the territory of Russia. Its long-standing culture has received its official name in honor of the Swedish naturalist, medic and botanist of the 18th century Karl Linnaeus. The coat of arms and portraits of the famous scientist depicts this flower, which he sincerely loved. Also, the northern Linnaeus is considered the official plant of the Swedish province of Småland - the place where Carl Linnaeus grew up. In folk medicine, which successfully uses the medicinal qualities of this unique herb in the treatment of many diseases, it is known as the "forest crawl", "hair", "abdomen", "rabid grass", "patch grass".

Description of Linnaeus North

A low (about 5 cm), with short pubescence, is characterized by creeping lignified stems, round petioles, small, leathery leaves and an upright leafless foot with two bell-shaped flowers. Fruits - nuts of round shape, ripen in August-September.

The spectacle of how the northern blooms blossoms, simply fascinates: in May, in the forest often there are bell-shaped pinkish flowers. By the beginning of summer they grow into a large openwork carpet, associated with a light pink cloud. This forest fairy tale lasts several weeks: from June to August. Contraindications

Possessing vasoconstrictive properties, linnea northern is not recommended for people with high blood pressure and hypertension. Preparations based on plants are not recommended for children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
