Life and Death of the Addict (continuation of Part 2)

Your mind

A teenager is thirteen to fifteen years old, and he wants to live his mind. Live your mind! Is it good or bad?

Fine. Good. Under one condition: if there is a mind.

A very small child among the first learned words often says: "Himself!" Or: "Himself!" And within his capabilities, adults allow him to pull the panties themselves or hold a spoon and eat soup.

A - a teenager? What can he do about it?

Yes, almost everything that adults do! If only he is not accustomed to walk on the potholes until ... Until the receipt of a passport, and even - before the marriage.

But it often happens that a guy (or a girl) has grown tall with a mother, and she reminds him every day:

"Do your homework!"

And such care does not offend the high school student? Someone else will snap back:

- I know myself!

And postpones this his - the main! Work on late evening, when the brain is already tired and bed beckons.

And is it independence? No, it's a lack of will and self-discipline - that is, exactly what is necessary for independent life.

The care of parents is annoying. But most often it bothers those who are not capable of independent life! Let's return to the primitive and most common example with lessons. If you have established a rigid regime in this business (for example: from four to seven - lessons!), So will the mother order: "Take lessons!"

We had a boy in our neighbors who had a father and mother at work all day. Already at the age of nine (and later - also), he himself prepared a simple meal (soup, porridge, potatoes) and lived strictly according to the schedule.

One of the guys will ring the doorbell:

"Petya, let's go into the yard!" Guys drive football.

"No," answered Petya.

"What, you have not done your lessons?"

"I've done my lessons." I have not played the music yet ...

And he returns to the piano.

What, I do not want to drive football? Still as you like: the boy is the same! But independence just begins with an understanding of the feeling of a dalog, and not with a whim, not with an empty contradiction of the elders, not with indulgence to one's desires or whims.

What do you think, the Reader, this disciplined Petya who, even for the sake of football and completely without supervision of the elders, will not lose touch with the matter ... Do you think he will "try" the drug at the suggestion of a peer or an older guy?

I can not say I will!

Why?

Because he lives with in and about the mind, and his - albeit small - life experience tells him that drugs are evil! Even if he did not see a living slobbery addict with a morbid expression on his face, it's all the same: he heard about the consequences of drug addiction on the radio, on TV, from his parents, he saw in the cinema ... It's smart enough to see, hear, think and understand: do not climb into this Whirlpool. It's not worth it!

And - no one will persuade him!

But there is another "independence", based on the following principle: to do it your way! And for each: "Do not!" This "independent" youth will say (or - think): "It is necessary!" And to do things contrary to common sense - "to spite" to those who give advice, not thinking that it is primarily for themselves Most will come out sideways ... That is - to spite itself!

Nowadays, not only adolescent boys are involved in drug addiction, but quite often - and girls. The most characteristic way for them to addiction is to love an adult drug addict or a peer. Here is an excerpt from the leaflet of the regional center for medical prevention and rehabilitation mentioned earlier.

"Some girls think that you can love a drug addict, but mother is indifferent to drugs.

In the standard situation, which we constantly face. A girl is madly in love with a guy taking drugs. I am ready to pray for him. What does he do to her and her? Stoiche rezmennoe emotionality. All drug addicts are psychopaths. They have all the feelings too! Everything is on the verge of exaltation. First, the girl is formed a psychological dependence on her friend, then they begin an intimate relationship, and addiction, grows into a sexual. But what about not sharing joy with a loved one? On the basis of the natality, it turns out that narcotic dependence is the only thing that connects them. To cure such a sweet couple, you have to breed them for different clinics. Fortunately, such connections quickly decay. "

Drug intoxication is a way of avoiding difficulties, flight from the problems of reality. The desire to reduce emotional tension, suppress feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, create the illusion of one's own importance, courage, adulthood. Behind all this is inability, unwillingness to overcome life's difficulties, conflicts.

Do you want to live your mind? Excellent! Then - the first task for your mind. Ask yourself: can you think, evaluate your own and other people's actions, compare good and bad, make your own decision, and do not snap up strangers, how does the fish have enough bait?

Can you do it? Well done!

You can not? Learn!

Be an independent person, but - not the slave of your friends (and even more so - those who pretend to be your friends). And most importantly! Do not be a slave of your desires: "I want", "I do not want". A reasonable person who not only floats along the course of life, but s lives his life, follows principles that can be expressed in a very general way: "I must do it!" "And this I should not do!"

Nobody will scold you or reproach you, if you yourself will do what is needed and how you need it. There is such a short aphorism: "Freedom is a conscious necessity."

And now about those who are used to living on someone else's pointer, but do not successfully choose for themselves "ukazchikov."

There are adults in such a concept: herd. A contemptuous concept. It refers to people who do not have their own principles or their own aspirations ... Their main ... yes no - the only rule: to live "like everyone else". One must assume that this life position is borrowed from sheep. A sheep can not live outside the herd! She definitely needs a leader.

They told me about the sheep. The village boy is shepherd. And suddenly a wolf jumped out of the forest, grabbed a sheep and dragged it. The boy screamed after the wolf. Could not catch up, but ran and screamed, and the wolf after a while threw the sheep and turned to the forest.

So, you think, did this sheep, freed from the wolf's teeth, do? She looked around and, seeing no one else to whom she could join, rushed after the wolf! The wolf, looking back, evaluated the situation (the sheep is close, the boy is far away), grabbed the sheep and took it for lunch to himself and his family.

Yes-a ... Remind me novice drug addicts this weak-willed and stupid sheep. If only to get into the herd ... No, drug addicts say: in a flock. You, of course, do not want to be like that sheep and get the wolf into your teeth. And do you know ...

Do you know your own shortcomings? No, dignity, I understand, everyone knows, sometimes even exaggerate them do not mind. But - disadvantages ... But this is much more important!

Well, for example ... You have a weak will. You easily succumb to someone else's influence. Bad? Of course, it's bad. What is there to do? Such people should be, if one can put it that way, always on guard. They began to "put pressure" on your psyche - to assess the situation: can not what the interlocutor is trying to do is to be detrimental to your life. And the mindset is firm: no! No, no and NO! And you will be in a double win.

Why: in a double?

Firstly, you reject a proposal that can harm you (and therefore, together with it you will reject potential harm!). This, in particular, is very important in those cases when you are offered to "try" a drug.

Secondly, you will understand that you are not so rotten, and quite able to decide what to do and what not to do. A weak will? That's a moot point. The will is not given to a person in a certain standard for life, like the color of the eyes. It can be trained as an athlete trains his body. Yesterday there was a weak will, but today ...

Today, willpower depends on you!

Slavery

"The slave, we read in the dictionary of Dahl, is a slave, a man converted into the property of his neighbor, who is in full power of him ..."

No, it seems that this definition does not fit the drug addict. Nobody is his property, he does not belong to anyone in full power ... So, at least, it seems to him.

But it only seems so! Yes, he has a slaveholder. Or - slave owners ... The name of them: drug dealers. The slave-owner and the slave ... no - the slaves were not yet seen in the making of each other, but the owner of the demented human souls knows: they will come, they will come to him and enrich him at the cost of their own doom, and for a dose - just give him time to get involved in the vice! - The slave for the sake of his Master of the Drug Trader will go both to theft, and robbery, and ... And - not one case is known - even to murder.

The drug dealer lives by the principle: money does not smell. He does not care how many lives are broken, maimed, ruined. This is someone else's life! Drug dealers and everyone who helps them, often play on one human weakness: the desire for imitation.

Do you know how the monkeys used to catch before? Here on this very passion for imitation ... The hunter for the living monkey comes to the place where these animals live, spreads a strong network and starts to ride on it and somersault, and the monkey looks from the tree and envies. After a while, the hunter leaves, "forgetting" to pick up the network. Monkey and happy! I jumped off the tree, started skating and ... And - got confused! The hunter only had to pick up the live goods and deliver it to the zoo.

Monkeys are very fond of imitating! Well, people ... You can imitate an industrious man, bold, gifted ... However, all this requires the efforts of the mind and will. But to imitate a drug addict ...

A drug dealer is a smart master of your life. Your poor life! However, there is still the invisible, but imperious, possessing you firmly, but not letting you out of your claws, like an eagle does not release a victim from the claws. And about this, too, writes Dahl.

"A slave of sin, a slave of passion, a man who gave himself up in passion to passions, pushed by them."

Human. Pursued by passions ... Better not say! At the time of Dahl in Russia there was no drug addiction. But there were other passions that were ruled by people: drunkenness, greed, card game ... These passions seized their victim in the net, and it was not easy to overcome their vice. But still - not so hard as from the fork of addiction! For the passion of drug addiction is also associated with physical suffering.

Did you, the Reader, have to suffer a severe famine? When all the time you want to eat, but there is nothing ... Or - excruciating thirst. Drink! Drink! But such a situation that there is no water! Hardly you survived such a test. But try to imagine ... Desert. The sun is burning. Frying ... And - not a drop of water! All day. No, it's the second ... third day! Not a sip of water ...

If you offer you for the thrill of going on such a test, you are unlikely to agree. Why should you torment yourself? Yes, no one will offer you an experiment with excruciating thirst, because your potential slaveholders know that you will not pay money in order to experience the suffering of thirst.

No, they will not offer you flour, but - to f. Kayf from the drug! And the torment, which will follow after a while, will not say a word. And you yourself will not think about them.

There is such a very long-ago proverb: "Whom God will punish wants, takes away the mind." And without reason, a person becomes a rag, with which you do what you want.

However, instead of the mind, there is something new, unfamiliar and unpleasant: a craving for drugs. In medicine, this trouble is called: drug addiction. I lit a few times "herb" or tried another narcotic poison and ...

Many beginning drug addicts think: yes, I'll throw at any time, I just need to ... I hope for "willpower". But will power, like much else in the psyche and in the body, the drug paralyzes, destroys. Willpower should be used to the fullest extent, when you are offered to try the drug, to firmly say: "NO"!

Did not say? So, you risk falling into the slavery of drug addiction ...

Here is the dialogue of the psychiatrist Boyanov with a teenager.

"- But many people say that there is nothing wrong with drug addiction. (This is a teenager).

- Hear these speeches, spit in the face of those who spread such nonsense. Any drug in such quantity - harm, grief, trouble. Here you never know, after what dose you will become a drug addict: one - at once, another - in a month, but everything becomes ".

What kind of power is this in poison, called a drug? The man takes on his will an equal joy, but soon after several times of intoxication he no longer controls himself, but this very poison controls him.

"Take the drug!" - Silent, but imperiously commanded by a strange owner, who was not there before.

Yes, before the person was free. But now ... Now someone orders him how to live and what to do. However, all his commands are reduced to one:

"The drug!" Drug!! Drug!!

"I have no money," the addict mournfully mumbles.

- Search! Get it! Ask for it. Steal. What you want! But - immediately: a drug!

The addict intolerably wants to repeat the state in which he was under the influence of the drug. He realizes that he is becoming a slave to narcotic passion, but rarely does anyone try to break free from this slavery.

About slaves - whether a slave of man or a slave of passion - people speak with contempt. For the slave, the slave loses his normal human qualities and turns into the submissive being of his master.

The slave of the drug is the same. The scope of the addict's interests is narrowed in the same way as the space for the caught fish narrows to the size of the kettle in which they give her a little more swim.

Where and how to get money for drugs? Where?! How?!! That's the whole point of the drug addict's existence.

It would be nice, of course, to give up a painful passion ... But the torture of a drug addict, when he can not get a drug in his time, is much harder than those experienced by a hungry person or suffering from thirst. For the drug is a quiet, insidious and predatory beast in the soft skin of a stupefying buzz - now without any disguise it releases its sharp claws and causes your body flour that is commensurate with torture in the dungeons of terrible prisons.

The drug addict loses interest in all his previous hobbies. Guitar? Football? Books? .. Yes, once (very recently!) I liked to drive football with guys, sing songs of my own composition under the guitar, read detective stories ... But all this was in another company, in another life. Now he is despised in this company: a drug addict! He goes to the "pack" of boys and girls, whose inner world fits in two words: idleness and lack of spirituality. A drug addict lives from drugs to drugs. His world: the drug - the buzz - the worry - the breaking - the drug at any cost!

Studying at school ... He is not interested in school! Sitting at the lesson, he thinks only about how he will go to "his" company, drink "compote" or swallow the "wheel" and will pout. And teachers require knowledge, and he does not sit down for a long time for lessons, deuces, deuces ... Absent absenteeism is added to deuces. And there comes a time when the teenager generally ceases to go to school.

Mother ... It is necessary to hide from the mother and addiction to drugs, and school troubles. Until then, it works out before time ... but I have to sacrifice kind relations with my mother, because a teenager is forced to pretend that everything is all right, everything is in order, he must lie, and you can not build good relations in the family ...

And then there are problems with health. Drugs cause exhaustion of the body and the decline of physical strength. There are violations of coordination of movements, the addict walks uncertainly, sometimes he is "brought" by strangers, as if drunk, and they think that he is drunk and condemn him or laugh at him ...

But we will give the floor to the addict himself (from the book of Strelkov).

"Only now I realized how much I lost. Life is spent, and behind him nothing, and long, painful, like torture, hours of searching for a drug. Everything was spent on this search. I was ready to break the window and get into the pharmacy, in order to quickly swallow the intoxicating substances. By inhuman efforts, he kept himself in order not to go out and rob the first person he met ... "

The word "slave" means not only complete dependence on the owner, but also is synonymous with spiritual squalor. Everything that was in the normal state constituted the meaning of existence, remained in the past, like an old man, and in return - only one concern: a drug.

So the first is accomplished - the spiritual death of the addict. His body continues to live, the addict eats, sleeps, "pricks", walks on the ground, though not firmly. But his soul is devastated, without interests and joys, without hopes and aspirations, without enthusiasm and creativity, without love for loved ones, without open sincere communication ... A drug addict does not seem to live and trails through life from one dose to the next.

"N e t r a b a t a b a b b a b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b b y b b b b b b b b b.

(Seneca, Jr.)

The West German journal Der Spiegel once published an interview with two drug addicts. Here is an excerpt from this interview.

"She is. At fourteen years old, my friend and I started to smoke hashish. It was still in school. Sometimes in one stash we were given cocaine.

When I met Martin - it was seven years ago - I did not have any one drug. The fact that we switched to heroin is my fault. In the disco, where I bought hashish, I met one type. He told me: "Wait, I'll give you something better." It was a white powder. Now I inject the drug to calm the bouts of despair and rage.

Do you have anything in your life other than drugs?

She is. I have nothing. I either go to the panel, or I sleep, or I sit in the room and look at the wall.

Is he. Since I do not steal, I spend most of the time in the room waiting for when Brigitte finally comes and brings another portion of heroin.

How do you feel about the fact that she is engaged in prostitution?

Is he. Of course, I'm uncomfortable. I'm sick of this. But when you think about the next portion of the drug, you forget about everything else. "

And this wretched existence is called: zh zn?

Addiction is a mental illness. Yes, you can not call a drug addict a mentally normal person. There is only one difference: other mental illnesses take possession of a person for reasons beyond his control. And drug addicts become themselves, voluntarily. The person himself rejects the normal, complex, disturbing, sometimes happy and sometimes difficult, but always beautiful human life, when he can work, rejoice, love, overcome the difficulties arising on the life path, become upset by failures and enjoy victories. Rejects a happy life for all her problems and plunges into a swamp of narcotic dope, for which he pays for the loss of everything he had: health, family, study, work, love ... Ultimately - the loss of life itself long before the time determined by nature.

In moments of enlightenment from a narcotic dope, a drug addict realizes that he has lost. As in the tale of the Brothers Grimm about the soldier, who after a few operations eventually slipped a piece of gold for a stone.
