Learning to make bookmarks with your own hands

Despite the fact that reading is now not in high esteem, many still like to spend several hours a day with a fascinating book in hand. Even taking into account the fact that paper editions are actively replaced by electronic versions, it is safe to say that in many apartments there are personal libraries - small and large. It's great when there are beautiful bookmarks in books, but it's sometimes difficult to find something suitable in a store. But there is a way out: you can make bookmarks yourself! It is very exciting.

The ways that tell how to make bookmarks are great. You can, for example, simply cut out a rectangle of colored cardboard. And you can use a glue to attach a small cloth bow to the clip. So, the first step is to prepare all the necessary tools: paper, color cardboard, scissors, a simple pencil and creative mood.

First, draw a template on plain paper. To do this, select the size of your bookmark. The optimal option is the side of 7 cm. Therefore, carefully draw a 7 by 7 cm square. After that, draw the same square on the sides forming the same angle (of course, with the same dimensions - 7x7). Total we get one figure consisting of three. Now draw the diagonals in the squares that you drew in the second and third turns, and cut off the pieces that are shaded in the photo. The remaining areas, not included in our figure, also need to be cut off.

Now that you have made a template (which, by the way, can be used for other bookmarks), put it on the cardboard and circle it with a pencil. Now cut out! If you want to make the same bookmark shown in the photo, take a piece of old colored wallpaper, make a square of them, which will have a size of approximately 6.5x6.5, and paste it to our future bookmark, as shown in the picture. And now, looking at the photo, bend the sticking "ears" bookmarks. With your hands, apply pressure to the folds, and then glue one of the triangles with glue, glue it on top of the other. It is advisable to put a few heavy books after that (and here the books were useful!) For a few minutes - this will ensure the further strength of our craft.

In general, the bookmark is ready, but you can try to make it creative and unlike anything else. In the future you will use your ideas, but for now repeat after us.

Stick one more triangle, cut from the wallpaper. From white and colored paper, cut out the teeth, as well as a few circles from which you can make the eyes. All these elements are glued to our bookmark - and ready, beauty! Now it can be used for its intended purpose.
