Lake Shatskoy: location and rest

The color of the water varies depending on the depth of the lake itself. On the rocks, its color is yellowish green, and deep lakes can boast an emerald green hue. And the bottom of each of the thirty formations covers sediments of sandy-silty character, sapropel and peaty ooze.

Shatskie lakes are a fount of fish, which are found here more than thirty species. Pikes, trout-oak, carp, pike-perch, perch, Canadian catfish, as well as bream and Chud shigi live there. And the eel is a local highlight and the most delicious food. But to engage in fishing here is allowed only at the time of the year determined by law and only in this way.

Svityaz

Shatskoe Lake Svityaz deserves the most attention. After all, this is the pride of Ukraine, and it refers to the seven wonders of this country. The reservoir is unique, and its waters have medicinal properties. This is the deepest, largest and cleanest lake in Ukraine. Shatskoe Lake Svityaz among the local population and tourists is known for the presence of its own island, which has a romantic name - the Island of Lovers. This place is simply fascinating with its mystery. There is a certain legend, according to which on the island young lovers - a guy and a girl - have turned into two trees - linden and sycamore.
