The sights of Primorsky Krai are incredibly diverse - this land itself, if such an expression is appropriate, is a landmark of Russia. Here, each natural object is unique in its own way and unusually beautiful.

The territory, consisting of the Primorsky Territory of Russia and the Amur part of the Khabarovsk Territory, is called Primorye. This huge physical and geographical area includes mountains and plains, rivers and lakes, and therefore the nature of Primorye, which is inherent in the elements of the subtropical and temperate zones, is extremely diverse.

A land rich in waterfalls

Primorye is rich in everything, including waterfalls, there is even a river with the same name - Vodopadnaya. The most popular and visited are Kravtsovskiy waterfalls - they are located near the highway "Razdolnoye - Hasan", and it is convenient to drive up to them. And they are not far from Vladivostok, just 100 km away. On the road there is a stop, which is called - "Kravtsovka", from which in walking distance is located a unique natural monument Kravtsovskie waterfalls. What are they? The cascade of five low watercourses is located in the Khasan district on the Kravtsovskoye stream, which is a small mountain stream flowing along a narrow rocky gorge from north to south.

One of the branded places in Primorye

Kravtsovskiy brook flows into the river Gryaznoy, which received its current hydronome because of the dirty yellow color, explained by the presence of mineral impurities in the water. On the river Gryaznoy, which used to be called Sabaicha (it itself is a tributary of Razdolnaya), the village of Kravtsovka is located. The Razdolnaya River was once called Suifun. It flows into the Amur Bay, forming in its estuary Taurian estuary. Sights of Hasan district

Kravtsovskie waterfalls are located on the creek of the same name, in the place where the path is blocked by a rock, and the slopes of the valley almost close. Waterfalls are low - from 2 to 6 meters, according to some sources, from 3 to 7. The first four are located 15-17 meters apart, and the last, the fifth, is 270-300 meters away from them. Along the stream there is a path that is good only in dry weather. It originates from the bus stop "Kravtsovka". From the second stream, the ascent becomes quite steep and requires special shoes. There are waterfalls at a distance of about 600 meters from the road, almost on the border of Khasansky and Nadezhdinsky districts.

Beautiful in all weathers

Kravtsovskie waterfalls (Primorsky Krai) are wonderful at any time of the year, but in the autumn they are unspeakably good. Scarlet deciduous trees and dark green conifers serve as a beautiful frame of the cascade from several low waterfalls. Some of them are called thresholds in general, which does not detract from their beauty. They are not similar to each other, and each is beautiful in its own way, has a twist. In winter, frozen watercourses, too, are a spectacular sight. The ice cascade seems to come from a fairy tale. And the path along the stream is not slippery, but sprinkled with shallow snow.

Fairytale Baby

Kravtsovskie waterfalls (Primorsky Krai) can be inspected in an hour. Each of them has its own name, in which its peculiarity is reflected. So, the lower, the first on the route of the waterfall has several names - Fairy Tale, Little (due to low altitude), Stone chaos. This waterfall is considered the most classic of the five - it plummets from a height of 6 meters, breaking on an inclined slab. Around are piled huge stones, creating the impression of a fairy-tale country. The old-timers say that the stones scattered in the chaotic disorder were once the cornice, along which it was possible to pass under the canal. Over time, it collapsed, creating around the mysterious world.

The stone bowl and the mouth of the devil

The second waterfall is a little, 2 meters below the first one. Its feature is the gigantic cauldron formed below - this term denotes a hemispherical deepening in rock formations. Hence the name of the drain - the Stone Bowl. It is quite extensive, and in summer you can swim in it.

From the baby to the stone bowl - 10-meter rise, it is almost sheer (it is advisable to use a rope when climbing). The waterfall itself consists of two different heights of ledges. The next, the third waterfall is called "The Devil's Maw". To the left of the jets a piece of rock sticks out. Someone reminded him of a tooth - if you want, you can imagine that this 6-meter drain and the stones surrounding it are somewhat like an ominous mouth.

Step and Crystal

The fourth waterfall, consisting of two equal in height steps, is called - Step. The latest, the Crystal Waterfall, is the widest. It consists of three stages, the upper one of which is the highest, it reaches just over four meters. And all this splendor, totaling five gutters, is in the north of Primorsky Krai. In some notes it is noted that the water in them is clean, in others - that with a yellowish tinge on the crests, clearly visible in sunny weather.

Human factor

This beauty, representing the sights of Primorsky Krai, was officially considered a monument of nature of regional importance in 1984, and Kravtsovski waterfalls should be protected accordingly. Especially since there is a project "Pure Water". But all these good intentions do not interfere with some fans of fresh air spree to turn protected areas into a dump. Therefore, a close location from the route is both an advantage of the cascade, and its trouble. I want to believe that with time everything will go well.

Possibility of entrance

The routes proposed in this region are numerous and diverse. There is among them and providing for a visit to the hot year-round basin under the open sky. Every year the Kravtsovskiy waterfalls become more popular. How to get to these fabulous places? Only by truck. You can get to the village of Razdolnoye, and you can reach Kravtsovka. As noted above, the sign that you have reached the right place is the bus stop of the same name or a rather large number of cars on the side of the waterfalls. Vladivostok is 100 km away.
