Kinesitherapy is ... Kinesitherapy: exercises at home, reviews

The principle of kinesitherapy is the principle of movement. In other words, kinesitherapy is a synthesis of various types of physical therapy, which are based on movements, as well as the formation of a comprehensive method of treatment based on them. To it it is possible to carry medical massage, medical gymnastics, manual therapy, exercises on simulators, exercises in water, mechanotherapy (treatment with the help of medical devices) and many other kinds of physical activity.

When this science began to develop

Recently, kinesitherapy has been given great importance. This is primarily due to the fact that medical science is rapidly evolving and there is more evidence of the relationship between the principles of motion and other fields of medicine (biology, neurophysiology, biophysics, psychology, cybernetics, the latest technologies and many others). Another factor of development is the interrelation of domestic and foreign methods of kinesiological treatment.

Basic concepts

Kinesitherapy is a exercise therapy (therapeutic physical culture). Due to the use of physiological methods of correction of morphological and functional disorders in the human body, its value increases. Thanks to these methods, complex treatment with kinesitherapy of diseases of internal organs and the musculoskeletal system becomes possible.

Over the past decade, a huge number of techniques have been developed for both complex and individual treatment for body disorders due to a particular disease.

Basic forms and means

Kinesitherapy is a science where it is possible to achieve high results in treatment only with a creative approach to innovative methods of treatment of a specialist working in the system of rehabilitation and physical recovery. Each specialist should understand that it is necessary to dose both active and passive forms and means of medical physical training.

To active means of therapeutic physical culture include muscle relaxation (postizometricheskaya - postretsiproknaya relaxation), corrective (morning), differentiated therapeutic gymnastics, exercises on the simulators and in the water.

Passive means of curative physical culture are those forms when the movements are performed not by the patient, but by the masseur or instructor of the exercise therapy. At this time the patient must be at rest. These include medical massage, shiatsu, acupressure (impact on a particular area of the body pointwise), positional mobilization (when with the help of an assistant the patient takes a forced position and is in it a certain amount of time). It is passive kinesitherapy that leaves reviews more than positive.

Most types of physical activity can be performed at home. These include the passive and active method of kinesitherapy.

One of the most popular active methods is exercise therapy, namely corrective gymnastics. This kinesitherapy at home is not only for adults, but also for children. It can be carried out at any time of the day. It takes 15-30 minutes.

Kinesitherapy: Exercise

A set of exemplary exercises for performing gymnastics at home is divided into an introductory (warm-up part), the main and final parts. When doing exercises, it is important to observe the basic rule of training. Of the 100% exercises performed during the day, 75% can be repeated (they are the basis), and 25% must be different to achieve the tone of all muscles.

Introductory part, or warm-up

  1. Standing on the toes and stretching up, simultaneously compress both hands into a fist (30-50 times).
  2. Make a circular rotation with your head. They are allowed to be performed only by those patients who do not have cervical hernia and osteochondrosis.

  4. Rotate (rotate) the head (look to the right and left).
  5. Repeat head movements 4 times in each direction.

Final part

The last part, when the kinesitherapy is performed at home, provides for the relaxation of the whole organism. It is necessary to perform a general muscle relaxation in combination with the principles of proper breathing.

This complex helps to develop the strength and elasticity of the muscles of the whole body, creating a muscular corset around the bones and joints. Improves nutrition of cells of internal organs and systems due to the expansion of blood vessels in the large and small circles of the circulation.
