In 1827, the great painter finished the painting "Italian noon." This was the second work devoted to the beauties of this country. The first was created in 1823 and was called "Italian morning".

The background of the creation of the second masterpiece is as follows. The first painting from this series, the Society for the Encouragement of Artists, gave the wife of Nicholas 1. The Tsar wanted the painter to create a pair work for the first canvas. Then, in 1827, so did Karl Bryullov. Pictures were received by the public ambiguously. If the first was rather flattering, then the canvas "Italian Noon" was told a lot of hard-hitting.

In his own work he painted a real, natural girl, who often like even stronger than statues, with his strict beauty.

Description of the canvas

And it is true. Charming full-bodied, health-raving girl attracts eyes. It is evident that she is very clever, easily climbed the stairs to collect grapes. With one hand the Italian holds a bunch of berries, the second one rests on the ladder. On the elbow of her left hand she has a basket, where she puts the ripe emerald bunches. The look of the girl is alive, he is full of joy, admiration not only because such beautiful berries were born. The girl is overwhelmed with feelings of love for nature, people, she is happy with the beautiful weather, looks through transparent berries to the tender sun.

Big eyes, a neat little nose, a radiant smile make the girl's face irresistible. With such appearance she could be the wife of a noble person, live in full prosperity. But it is clear that she is already so happy and happy with everything. It was able to convey with the help of colors, glints of the sun, the plot of Karl Bryullov, whose pictures lead the viewer into a complacent mood or are forced to think, experience the tragic events of the past days, the main thing - do not leave indifferent.

"The last day of Pompeii"

This is another famous masterpiece that the artist created in 1833, and worked on it since 1830. But Karl Pavlovich Bryullov began to sketch the painting "The Last Day of Pompeii" as early as 1827, when he visited Pompeii.

Through colors, it reflected the eruption of Vesuvius, which occurred in the year 79, which caused the death of many people and the destruction of the city. This picture is significant because it was the first one that foreign art critics praised.

"Giovanin on horseback"

At first there were assumptions that he depicted it exactly - the Countess, but it was proved by art historians - in the image of the rider her pupil Giovanni, that's why Karl Pavlovich called the canvas "Giovanni on horseback". According to the main version, the girl was the niece of her second husband Samoilova.

It can be seen how Giovannin is well-kept in his saddle in his beautiful robes and is controlled by a black trotter who does not want to stand still.

The girl admiringly looks at the girl, who also can not wait to grow up quickly, in order to learn how to ride gallantly on a horse. The artist wrote a girl with the adopted daughter of Samoilova, who was called Amacilia.
