Inflammation of the labia may be a consequence of recent hypothermia (for example, after the pool or just in cold weather). As a result, a dense formation in the region of the labia may be palpated with the size of a pea - an inflamed lymph node. The tumor of the inner labia can also begin with swelling and inflammation of the labia and the formation of a small "wart". The tumor can have the form of a dense formation of small dimensions. Occasionally, a proliferation on a wide leg is visualized. Later on the labia may appear painful ulcers with rounded edges, filled with purulent or bloody contents. Sexual lips acquire very large sizes, from them the unpleasant smell emanates. In this situation, it is necessary to urgently consult a gynecologist for advice and for a number of diagnostic tests.

Inflammation and cancer of the external genital organs are very similar in their clinical picture. And to draw a fine line between these diseases at times it is possible only after results of a biopsy. However, the cancer of the external genitalia is quite rare and, as a rule, in women of adolescent age.
