How to use Cydia

Cydia belongs to that not too large category of software that is designed to search and download various applications on the Internet. It is used on Apple devices. In particular, this software is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod. In some of its aspects, Cydia shows no less, and sometimes much more efficiency and speed than "native" development programs. It is an analogue of the App Store, only, unlike the application with the same name, it allows you to install third-party programs.

Such applications in their functionality often outperform the official ones - due to the lack of restrictions on access to the file system. Another undeniable plus of the Cydia software is that most applications through it can be obtained completely free of charge, although there is also the opportunity to buy some utilities. Similar to the App Store, there is a store called the Cydia Store. But to work with Sidia, the device must be pre-cracked - "jailbreak", which will unlock some functions.

How to use Cydia

Not all users after the purchase of the iPhone remain satisfied with the functionality of its software. And if at the beginning of operation some of the shortcomings are usually closed by the eyes, then in the course of time they begin to irritate more and more. Sooner or later, but inevitably there comes a point when demanding owners begin to look for ways to download new software bypassing the official store.

In addition to the desire to save extra money, there may be other reasons for this desire. It is possible that everything happens according to the advice of friends who consider third-party programs more effective than those offered by Apple. Anyway, the very first utility that will be advised to download such a user will be the same Sidia. It is reasonable, that after that there will be a question on how to use Cydia?

It should be noted that even if the owner is quite satisfied with the choice of programs in the App Store today, it is possible that in the future he will need a single application, which is simply not there. That's why it's very useful to know how to use Cydia, and be able to apply it in practice. Moreover, there is nothing particularly clever here.

Regarding installation, questions are unlikely to arise, since during the hacking this software is installed automatically. But with the first acquaintance there can be difficulties: not all beginners can immediately navigate in the established program. But, as already mentioned, there is nothing complicated here, and in a few minutes everyone can figure out how to use Sidia.

First start

First of all, of course, you will need to find a point of free Internet access or use another type of connection to the worldwide network, which you prefer. The main thing is that the connection should be stable. After the connection appears, you can run Cydia. Here, the first step is to specify the level at which the program's functionality will be used. There are three of them ("Developer", "Hacker" or "Initial level"). Beginners are advised to set the last one for the first run.

Next, the program itself will search and install the available updates. From the user it will only be necessary to agree with the changes made. The next step is to start searching for the application that interests you. Those who already know how to use Cydia users are recommended to look at the "Sections" section. This is the easiest way to find something: all the programs are scattered by folder-categories with talking names. For example, games will be intelligently searched in "Games".

To delete an unnecessary application, go to the "Manage" tab. Here you can control the amount of available and full memory or add new file stores. With extreme caution, you should delete files from the "Packages", because here, in addition to those added by the user, there are also applications installed by the system itself. Their removal can have the most negative impact on the performance of the device.

What if Sidia stopped working?

Problems with the functioning of it happen infrequently, but still sometimes users can scare that Cydia does not start. Most often this happens after the update. The cause of the problem is associated with an incorrectly terminated process. Despite the fact that the update was not installed, some of it remained in the program. To solve this problem is very simple: you need to clean the / var / lib / dpkg / updates / folder on your device. The easiest way to find it is through the file manager (iFile or iTools).
