How to take days off for a vacation? Statement and subtleties of design

Often in the post-Soviet space the concept of "time off" is used. In fact, he has not been in the TC for a long time. It means one or several days, which are taken into account the vacation. It must be remembered that such a right is fixed in the Labor Code. This document indicates the grounds for the application. Usually refer to family circumstances. If you indicate the sending to the army of a son, the birth of a child, a wedding, then, in theory, the employer can not refuse. However, any reason should be confirmed by appropriate paper. Typically, a day or two at their own expense is better to ask in a good way from the immediate leader. Then the application specifies "family circumstances" without deciphering.
