How to quickly and correctly create a collage

You can create a collage using different means. Experienced users use Photoshop, but this program is quite complicated. To work in it requires serious preparation. You can use online services that you do not need to install on your computer. They are easy to use, but, perhaps, this is their drawback. Too simple: the three-step algorithm does not leave freedom for creativity. However, there is still the best option.

One of the most simple and convenient ways to work with collages is the Goodgle Picasa program. It allows you to select different types of combined images.

To start creating a collage, you must first pick up suitable photos for him. This means that they must be of good quality, clear, contrasting, so that the result is as effective as possible.

This program for creating a collage allows you to do everything automatically. Having selected a photo, in the open window it is necessary to press the button "Collage", which is located directly in the area of photos placed in it. If you want to use all the photos at once, select the "Create a collage" button, which is located in the folder / album header. You can manage content from the creation page using the "Settings" and "Clips" tabs.

To set the style of the images, you must again use the "Settings" button: six possible styles are automatically defined. The "Image stack" style will create a collage of chaotically scattered photos that are easy to drag, move up and down, set them to scale at their own discretion, choose the rotation angle of each image. If you click on a photo, the parameter control wheel appears.

The style "Mosaic" provides for automatic adjustment of photos around the central image. "Grid" builds images by rows and columns, giving everyone a certain equal size. "Overview sheet" will exactly build up the photo in a reduced form. "Multiple Exposure" will put the photos on top of each other.

To understand how to properly make a collage, you must first independently examine the tab "Settings". Here you can select different parameters that change the appearance of the images. Each type of collage corresponds to an individual set of settings.

The main sub-items of the "Settings" are as follows. The "grid spacing" specifies the thickness of the frame that separates the photos. "Image borders" add white or Polaroid edges to the frames. Using the "Page Format" you can choose the size of the collage. By default, Picasa configures the appearance of images automatically. "Orientation" allows you to place photos horizontally or vertically. If you check the "Draw shadows" checkbox, you can give the images a volume and a depth. If you want to add captions, you need to click on the "Show captions" checkbox (only for the "Photo stack" style).

If you want to create a collage from scratch, and continue working on an existing one, you can select additional photos using the Clips tab in the image creation window . In it you can open a folder with a photo and add new ones. To open the next folder, click the "More" button and click the "+" icon.

Delete an unnecessary photo by simply pressing the corresponding button, which is located under the collage.

When the creation work is finished, you need to click the "Create Collage" button. By default it will be saved in the "Collages" / My Pictures folder. You can also save and still unfinished work as a draft.

You can edit images both during their creation and after saving.
