How to properly tune a guitar

You need to make the adjustment with the same instrument that you will play, since each of them affects the strings with different force.

The quality of the sound of the melody played by the musician depends on how well the guitar is tuned. Therefore, everyone, even a beginner musician, should be able to tune his instrument. On how to properly tune the guitar, we 'll explain below.

First of all, you need to be able to tune it by ear. Thanks to this method, the setting can be done in 5-10 minutes, even if you have just pulled strings.

The most popular among beginners is the classic way. It is quite simple and intuitive. For proper sounding, it is enough to fine-tune one string - the first one, using any mechanism available at hand. In order to understand how to properly adjust the guitar, you need to know the standard structure of the instrument.

To set up the first string, you can use an already tuned other instrument, for example a piano. For the standard is taken note of the first octave (E). Also suitable:

• Program on a smartphone or PC;
• Tuning fork - the most accurate way;
• The dial tone corresponds to note E.

It is necessary that the string sounded in unison with the standard. Setting the rest is not difficult. The sequence is as follows:

- The second string is adjusted, relying on the first one. It is clamped on the fifth fret and adjusted so that it coincides with the sound of the first open string.

- 3rd - is clamped on the fourth fret and is adjusted until it coincides with the open second string.

- 4th - squeezed on the fifth fret, by sound should coincide with the third free.

- 5th - squeezed on the fifth fret, is adjusted to coincidence with the fourth open.

- 6th - (the thickest, upper), presses on the fifth fret and is adjusted until it coincides with the fifth open. It sounds like the first with a difference of two octaves.

How correctly to adjust the guitar on flayoletons?

This is a more accurate and correct way of setting up, because sometimes it's not enough just to tune the instrument in a frets. A flasher is a reception of the finger of the left hand touching the string in the middle of the fret and extraction of the sound by the right hand, with the simultaneous removal of the finger from the string.

Sequence:

- The 1st string is tuned in the same way as in the classical method with the help of another instrument;

- 6th string - with the help of a flagiolet on the fifth fret is adjusted until it coincides with the open first;

- 5th string - it is tuned with the help of the fla-cholet on the seventh fret and by the sound should correspond to the first open;

- 4th string - with the help of a flajolelet on the seventh fret, according to the sound must coincide with the flajolet on the fifth fret of the fifth string;

- 3rd string - with the help of a fla-cholet on the seventh fret corresponds to the fourth-string fla-cholet on the fifth fret;

- 2nd string - with the help of a flagiolet on the fifth fret is adjusted until the first string, taken on the seventh fret, coincides with the flajolet.
