How to make leather bracelets with your own hands?

First, determine the main parameters. What are the leather bracelets? You like more:

• Thick or thin;
• Short or long;
• On fasteners or on buttons;

Now think about what you would like to decorate your bracelet: rhinestones, patterns, inserts or other decorative elements? If you decide what product you want to create, feel free to embark on your idea.

How to make a leather bracelet?

Option 1. Leather bracelets of links:

• Leather or imitation leather;
• Glue intended for the skin;
• Button from clothes;
• cardboard;
• scissors.

In full size, draw the desired pattern on the cardboard and cut it out. The width of the bracelet depends on the size of the links.

Now attach the resulting part to the skin or leatherette. Cut very carefully, the skin - "gentle" material, so the elements can turn out uneven. If necessary, you can tint the inner slice and edges with a permanent marker.

Now the link needs to be bent in half and glued together both sides. Cut the other parts in the same way. New links need to be inserted into the resulting holes and glued edges. The length of the bracelet is determined by experience: it should fit your wrist fairly freely. The last detail must be glued completely.

When you have completed these steps, put the finished decoration under the press. Once the bracelet is dry, attach the button to the extreme parts. It can be sewn or attached with a special tool. Also on the bracelet can be glued sticky.

To decorate the product, sew beads to it or glue the rhinestones.

Option 2. Leather band bracelets

You will need:

• Two strips of skin with a thickness of 1.2 to 2 mm, a width of 5 mm and a length of 160 mm;
• Special glue;
• Chisel with blade 6 mm.

First, mark on each strip where the slots will be. On one strip there should be 6, on the other - 7. The distance between them should be 2.5 mm. Using a chisel, make slits and sharpen the ends of the strips.

Take a strip with 7 slits in the left hand behind the opposite end. Pass the short end of the other leather strip through the nearest hole. Slightly pull so that the links are straightened. Now you need to glue the adjacent edges of both strips together.

Now in the direction from the bottom up, pass through the nearest hole in the strip with 6 slots the second strip. Then follow the same pattern. When all the parts are processed, fasten the strips together (like the first time).

If you want to decorate the bracelet, add decorative elements, such as rhinestones.
