How to debug network connections?
Today, it is difficult to find users with a personal computer that does not visit the expanses of the worldwide network. However, quite often there are problems with connecting to the Internet or correctly displaying icons. Consider this situation.
If network connections are not displayed, you should check the network adapter configuration . For this purpose, you need to call the menu by right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon. When you click on "Properties", a window will open. On the "Hardware" tab, you should call "Device Manager" - the "Network Cards" node will open. Here you need to check whether the type of the network adapter is displayed correctly. To do this, click on the icon of the desired adapter to open the window. On the General tab, you should see a message informing you of the correct operation of the device.
If problems are detected, it is recommended that you check the appropriate services. To do this, when you click on the "My Computer" icon, select the "Manage" item. A window opens - in it you need to expand the services node and check whether remote procedure calls, network connections, event systems, connection manager, telephony and Plug and Play work. All listed services should be included.
In addition, the network connections in Windows 7 work properly if the login settings are correct. To check these settings, double-click the COM + Event System service. When you switch to the logon tab, you need to make sure that the default value is selected.
Network connections may malfunction if you are denied interaction with the desktop. To check this option, in the services window, you must select "Network connections". When you switch to the logon tab, you should make sure that the check mark for the interaction with the desktop is checked.
If there are still display problems, you can check the configuration of the network services. In the control panel, you must select the installation and removal of programs and go to the Windows Components Setup tab. Here, choose the network services to view the composition. It is necessary that the TCP / IP services are flagged.
First of all, we are interested in the icon called "Local Area Connection". Double clicking on it will either turn on the local network, or turn it off: depending on what state it was in.
If "localization" was enabled, then most likely there are problems on the line or the username and password are incorrectly entered. First, it is recommended to check the correctness of data entry. If this does not help, you should contact the provider. Before contacting a specialist, note down the error number that the handler gives when connecting to the Internet.
