How to cook cakes in a microwave in 5 minutes?

Small, but amazingly delicious cakes in the microwave became the favorite breakfast of many Russians immediately, as soon as the original recipe was first published on the expanses of the World Wide Web. Today everyone can bake a fresh, useful and unusual dessert without eggs and oven. Although the original version of the recipe managed to be distorted beyond recognition (most bloggers-culinary specialists contributed a little to their personal vision of dessert, and created dozens of variations of cooking), there is a standard cooking method on which all modifications are based. It is described in detail below.

Ingredients

Cakes in the microwave are only cooked for five minutes, the dish does not contain chicken eggs.

To prepare 3-4 servings of an unusual dessert you will need:

  • Flour - 60 g;
  • Sugar - 50 g;
  • Cocoa powder - 3 tablespoons;
  • Yoghurt or leaven - 2 tablespoons;
  • Baking soda - 1/4 tablespoon;
  • Water 80 ml;
  • Vegetable oil - 60 ml.

For the glaze, take 50 g of chocolate (you can milk), 1 tablespoon of butter and 2 tablespoons of milk.

How to cook

  • Pour the yogurt into a small bowl, add the soda and mix well. Set it aside. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and cocoa powder.
  • Pour water into a third bowl, suitable for cooking in a microwave oven, and set it to warm up for 1 minute.
  • Remove the bowl of water and add oil and sugar. Stir until the ingredients are completely dissolved.
  • Add yogurt with soda and mix well.
  • Add the flour with cocoa powder and stir well until a uniform consistency is obtained.
  • Take a clean bowl, suitable for a microwave oven, pour in a tablespoon of vegetable oil and distribute it on the bottom and sides of the dishes.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased bowl and cook the cakes in the microwave for five minutes. If you are making this dessert for the first time, carefully observe through the door window behind the cake shape. Everyone works differently in the technique, and it is quite possible that your furnace will have four minutes.
  • Take the dessert out of the microwave and cool.
  • While it is cooling, prepare the icing. Take a bowl, suitable for the oven, and put chocolate and butter in it. Set the mixture to warm up for 30 seconds. Chocolate should completely melt. Add milk and mix well to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Now turn the cake on the plate. Fill it with glaze, evenly distributing the chocolate mixture.
  • Decorate with a cherry or any other berry at your discretion.

The cake in the microwave for 5 minutes is ready - it remains to cut it into portions and serve to the table.

Notes

  • The amount of sugar in the recipe can be changed to your taste.
  • If you want to cover the whole cake with a frosting, take a whole chocolate bar (100 g).
  • If your microwave oven has a maximum heating temperature of 800 watts, it's likely that the dessert will be ready in 4 minutes. Carefully observe the baking process.
  • Cakes in the microwave usually rise slightly, so avoid overfilling the bowl - it's best if it is filled with a dessert mix only half.
  • Instead of vegetable oil you can use melted cream.
  • Do not spare oil to lubricate the bowl, otherwise the cake will stick to the edges.
  • Before turning the dessert on a plate, make sure that it has cooled completely.
  • The use of starter is preferable to the use of yogurt, since it will react chemically with baking soda and make the cakes in the microwave porous.

Variations

Some food bloggers recommend to forget about the glaze, and instead add to the dough pieces of bitter or milk chocolate. Such a recipe for cakes in a microwave oven will appeal to those who prefer to enjoy splashes of thick chocolate paste instead of the sweet coating of a whole dessert. We must admit that the half-melted piece of the favorite tile is really perfectly combined with a soft and gentle biscuit. If you take bitter chocolate and want to create a genuine delicacy, you can add to the dessert a tiny pinch of salt and a couple drops of pure peppermint extract.

Culinary experts who already know how to make a cake in a microwave oven are ideal not only to taste, but also in shape, advised to use instead of bowls and cups special ramekin - ceramic dishes, originally intended for souffle and cream-brule.
