The fact is that every woman is individual. She has her own menstrual cycle, the day of ovulation and physical characteristics. Ovulation does not always occur in the middle of the menstrual cycle. In addition, there may be moments of repeated ovulation. It is for this reason that it is simply impossible to calculate the embryonic term for 100% in advance.

The term began to count from the last menstruation. To date, most gynecologists are much easier to observe the course of pregnancy, focusing on a term called obstetric.

It begins with the day when the last months began. In total, difficult pregnancy lasts forty obstetric weeks. This value corresponds to two hundred and eighty days.

The date of birth can be calculated directly in several ways. For example, some women add to the first day of their last month's two hundred and eighty days. The simplest method is the formula, according to which seven days are added to the day of the onset of menstruation. From this date, you need to subtract three months. The third method involves summing the first day of the month, which has lasted for the last time, seven days and nine months. It is also worth noting that a rather large percentage of women give birth to children on the thirty-eighth or forty-second week of pregnancy. Therefore, the calculated date of birth is always considered to be conjectural.

The pregnancy period rarely coincides with the calculations made by the gynecologist. It is necessary to rely, first of all, on the dates that the obstetrician-gynecologist leads. Of course, at first it is not easy to understand why this value should be taken as a basis. Many future mothers begin to strongly resent, because they know better the specific day of conception of the baby. Do not worry about it, because such a period of pregnancy is necessary only for the correct and accurate observation of the course of a particular pregnancy. With the help of such calculations, the doctor prescribes tests and examinations, which each woman undergoes at the same time.

In such a study, a specialist evaluates the development of the fetus, based on the obstetric age, as it is considered to be fundamental throughout the entire pregnancy. If the data in this case are very different from each other, additional examinations are carried out.

It is important to know that even the first weeks before conception of a baby are very important. During this period, the egg ripens, which can affect absolutely any negative influence. For this reason, the first two weeks after the last menstrual discharge are taken into account by gynecologists.
