The Olympics is a sport holiday. It seems from the side that the usual everyday worries here go somewhere, giving way only to competitive emotions, the joys of victories and the sorrows of losses, and athletes for a while seem to cease to be ordinary people and are likened to celestials, the inhabitants of the ancient Greek Olympus. In part, probably, it is.

However, life goes on, it takes its own and does not always look like a fairy tale. So how does living in Rio our best athletes, is it convenient for them, are they comfortable, are there any problems, and if so, how are they solved?

What do they eat?

This question is much more important than, perhaps, to someone it seems. If the athlete does not eat well and tasty, then it will be difficult for him to fight for medals. There is an order according to which the receiving side provides a variety of quality food for participants of the competitions and personnel, and the Brazilians tried to make sure that nobody left hungry from the dining rooms. In the Olympic Village there is an opportunity to taste dishes of European, Asian and even Russian national cuisine. However, according to the head of the Russian Olympic Committee Igor Kazikova, the assortment is not happy, it is monotonous, and even fruits, which in the warm country should be, in theory, abound, are somehow poor. Devices with Olympic symbols may have been picked up by memory (this, by the way, happens almost always, and the organizers usually prepare for this), they suddenly ended, and now they give plastic instead of metal spoons, which looks pathetic. In the "Russian" section, you can eat even borscht, and this is often used by athletes from the Ukrainian team, without being puzzled by the question of which kitchen this glorious dish belongs to. However, there is another way to eat deliciously - you can go to your own "house" (he is in the village), where his cook cooks, he is also a member of the Olympic team. In his performance, dumplings and borsch are very good.

Friendship, which causes some objections

Kuznetsov removed his post, apparently, not wanting to cause even greater trouble to the brave Ukrainian guys. Actually, Panu Biryukov has something to think about, and not only about the athletes. The process of "hammering" hatred is difficult and ungrateful. And "dirty tricks", as experience shows, are not very effective.

Incident with flags

August 12, Russian athletes found that they posted national tricolors torn, tied in knots and thrown on the floor in the lobby of the 16th floor of the Olympic Hotel. This unpleasant incident was reported by Alexander Patskevich, a member of the team of synchronized swimmers. Who did this and for what reasons, it is not known - nobody took responsibility for this stupid hostile action. The sportswoman expressed her indignation, and the representative of the Russian Olympic Committee called on the organizing committee of the Games to hold a hearing. We can only hope that this incident, if it affects the results of the national team, is not the way that the unknowns intended for it, but the most opposite.

Korotyshkin went to a restaurant, unknown people came to him with weapons, and he wisely gave everything that was in his pockets. He himself is not very upset, he had little money, but now the impressions are the sea.

Four medals per day

At the moment the sixth day of the Games became the most productive. On August 12, a silver medal was won by Yulia Yefimova at a 200-meter distance (swimming, breaststroke). The bronze medal went to the gangsters who defeated the Estonian national team in the team classification.

The third place was taken by Evgeny Rylov (swimming, on the back), and also Aliya Mustafina in individual gymnastic all-around. Fans for Russia hope that such a "fruitful" day is not the last in this Olympiad.

General Interim Results

Given the incomplete composition of the Russian national team and the previous scandal, our athletes are showing good results. As of the moment, the team scored 22 medals, of which five are gold, eight are bronze and nine are silver. In the overall medal table, Russia ranks seventh, and there is every chance of climbing higher, although there is practically no hope of getting into the top three.
