American comedians: the best of the best

America is the country in which the so-called black humor was born. American comedians talked about things that no one had ever said before. And in general, they did not just talk about it, but also began to ridicule all these things. It is in America there are new branches of humor. So, for example, even 10 years ago in the CIS countries very few people knew what a standup was, but there he was already very famous. Now - this is a popular humorous genre in Russia. But American comedians never read written lines from paper, do not shove all the famous jokes. Their humor is actually humor. Consider the five most popular humorists of all time.

Richard Pryor

This comedian is one of those who had to create in the mid-fifties of the last century. And he did it masterfully. Jerry Seinfield called him even "Picasso of humor." Of course, this is not entirely true, because there are comedians and better, but at one time it was indeed one of the most successful. He was the son of a boxer and a prostitute, was brought up by a grandmother who owned a brothel. But this did not stop him from getting to his feet. His productive activity began in the mid-50's and was quite a traditional humorist. But in the late 60's he reborn and took up stand-up. Like other American comedians, he built his speeches on autobiographical materials. And they had a lot of him, since he led a rather insane lifestyle. Already after, when he was known to the whole world, he poured rum and began to manufacture cocaine. Because of this, he caught fire and started running around the street. Friends believed that this was an attempt at suicide. But Richard used this story in his jokes, and it turned out to be very ridiculous.

George Carlin

George Carlin is in the category of "American comic actors." In addition to the stand-up, he was also engaged in acting and writing. All this made him very successful, so Carlin is famous throughout the world. This is the pillar of the American standup, because he laid many foundations of this genre. Almost all the jokes of Karlin had a social basis. He was a supporter of expanding the boundaries allowed to show on television. He even had a number of "Seven words that can not be spoken on TV." Because of this, he was tried, as censorship was then above all else.

Louis C

It can be safely attributed to the category "The best American comedians of all time". After all, he is not only imitator of Karlin. He transformed this genre into himself, so his work became very successful and multifaceted. Each of his jokes is hilariously funny. In the early 90's he began his career and was a court witty. No one distinguished him from the general mass. It continued until 2005, until he touched on a topic that became a turning point in his career. His golden veins were stories about the crisis of middle age, a divorced loser with children. And although on stage he pretends to be a villain, a rude, constantly irritated man, in the real world he is a very good person. He always calls children assholes, dreams of the death of friends, but it's only on stage. In every joke, he feels that he has a big and kind heart. Since 2010, he is shooting the series "Louis", jokes for which he writes himself.

Andy Kaufman

This is one of the most mysterious personalities in the history of the stand. All American comedians are very different from him. After all, it is difficult to call him a humorist at all. Kaufman is the founder of trolling. He himself said that he never could and did not want to joke. His stage image was collected from various fictional characters. In general, it is unlikely that he wrote stories about himself, as do the stand-up representatives. Many still believe that this Andy was never in his jokes. He said many times that he would like to stage his death. He died early, in 1984, from lung cancer. And most of his viewers still do not believe him, but that's true. By the way, in the film "The Man on the Moon" in 1998, he was played by Jim Carrey. As you know, this is one of the best representatives of the category "American comedians-actors."

Ricky Gervase

Usually comedians move from stand-up to their own show. But in Jarvez, everything happened exactly the opposite. First he became the creator of the series "Office", which in a short time became very successful. Therefore, when he first came on stage, he was already a superstar. Of course, in professionalism, he is a bit inferior to his colleagues. But the lack of experience pays off his charm. Ricky laughs at everything that surrounds him: from fat to dwarfs. All the audience like it very much. For his work, he receives the main prize - many ovations and enthusiastic views. Usually, he devotes his speeches to serious topics ("Politics", "Glory"). Unfortunately, now he has almost abandoned his passion for stand-up. Although he promised that he would soon release a new show - "Humanity".

Of course, there are other American comedians, photos of which will cause laughter in any viewer. But above were listed humorists, who really deserve attention, because they became the founders of the genre of Stand Up.
