Half-forgotten novel, or a summary of "Two captains" Kaverin

Describe the short content of "Two captains" Kaverin - the occupation is extremely ungrateful. This novel should not be read in brief retelling, but in the original, it is painfully good and "tasty" it is written. And it's good, on the one hand, that he was not included in the school curriculum at the time, otherwise, probably, the children got the same disgust towards Katya and Sanaa, which many of them feel towards Natasha Rostova. On the other hand, modern young people often did not even hear about such a work. But we will now try to correct this defect and try to give a general idea of the novel written by Veniamin Kaverin, "Two Captains." The heroes of the book, despite the time in which the novel was written, do not at all look like convinced fighters for communism and peace throughout the world. They are still alive today, unlike the many characters of the past, and it is possible that they will be loved by many generations of readers.

We will try to embrace the vast and briefly describe the brief content of the "Two Captains" of Kaverin. We will not dwell on the episodes, but try to go through the "tops", indicating only the epoch-making events and the main turns of the plot. So, let's begin.

Veniamin Kaverin "Two Captains"

The main characters of the work are Sanya Grigoriev and Katya Tatarinova. It is their love that goes through the whole work, so that a certain part of the readers can be interested in the book and as a love story. But only the love line Kaverin is not limited. In his novel there is both struggle and betrayal, there is the steadfastness and courage of some heroes, cowardice and meanness of others.

But we again digress from the topic. Our task is to write a brief summary of Two Captains of Kaverin, and not to talk about the eternal.

A novel begins with a description of Sani's childhood years. He lives with his mother and sister in a small provincial town. Sister, strange as it may sound today, is called Sasha too. It so happens that the children have lost both parents and are threatened with shelter. Not wanting to become a shelter boy, Sanka, along with his friend Petka Skovorodnikov, escapes at night from home, without informing his neighbor Aunt Dasha, who considered herself responsible for the orphans, of her escape. It was Aunt Dasha who read Sanya in the evenings letters found in a bag of a drowned postman, without even knowing what role they would play in the fate of our hero.

The boys wanted to get to Moscow first, and then to wave into the warm fairytale Tashkent, which Petka told a friend of the legend. It was then that the motto, to which Sanya followed his whole life: "Fight and seek, find and not surrender!" Was invented and put into action.

Prior to Moscow, the guys were able to get in spite of the difficulties of the way in the country devastated by war and revolution, but in the capital itself they were caught in a raid. Petka managed to escape, and Sanya was given up for education in an orphanage.

It so happened that he became a member of the family of the principal of the school, in which he was kept in his orphanage. The name of the director was Tatarinov, together with him lived the widow of his cousin with his mother Nina Kapitonovna and daughter Katya. Sanya was told that Marya Vasilyevna's husband was the captain of the ship "Saint Mary", missing a few years ago in the polar ice. Captain Tatarinov hoped to find a northern sea route for his country and prove that it is possible to go directly from the Archangel to Kamchatka. The director, Nikolai Antonovich, exhibited himself as the benefactor of the captain, and the family of the latter felt sincere gratitude to him.

Sanya did not recognize all this at once, as he did not immediately connect in his head the fragmentary memories of his childhood, when he held his breath, listened to Aunt Dasha, who read letters from the bag of a drowned postman, and stories of a brave polar captain. To do this, he needed to understand that he loved Katya, to come to her in Ensk, to visit Aunt Dasha and her sister and find old letters on the shelf. After reading them, he realized that fate mysteriously connected him with the Tatarinov family long before acquaintance, since these were the letters of the captain addressed to Marya Vasilyevna.

Sanya accuses Nikolai Antonovich that he did not help Captain Tatarinov, but simply sent him to certain death, providing the expedition with unsuitable products and equipment. But he can not prove this yet. And then he swears to find the missing expedition.

But how can an orphanage boy, who is just finishing school, do it? To find out, you need to read the book in its entirety, and not just to take a look at the brief content of Kaverin's Two Captains. Katya and Sani fall a lot of tests. Sanya goes to the flying school, wants to go to the North, but the war prevents, and instead of the polar pilot, he becomes a military man and goes to beat the fascists. And after the end of the geological faculty, Katya moves to Leningrad, where she is seized by a blockade. Recovered after a serious injury, Sanya starts looking for Katya, and she, without knowing anything about the fate of her beloved, is also looking for him. They pass in their search through parallel streets, not knowing that their meeting is postponed indefinitely. And only after the war, Sane manages to keep his oath and find the missing expedition of his wife's father.
