George Yuryevsky is a descendant of the Russian emperor and our contemporary

Traditions of the Romanov emperor's house did not disappear after the execution of the royal family. Many descendants of the heirs of the Russian throne still live and live in prosperous European countries. One of such descendants is Prince George Aleksandrovich Yuryevsky - heir, who did not become emperor of Russia.

Marriage of the Emperor

In the noble families, there is often a tradition to repeat the names of the heirs from generation to generation. Prince George Yuryevsky - a clear confirmation of this tradition. The first person with this name was born in 1872 in St. Petersburg. His father was the incumbent Emperor Alexander II, and the mother was the morganatic wife of the Tsar, Princess EM Dolgorukaya. Georgy Yuryevsky was born out of wedlock and until 1874 had no rights and titles. But in the middle of 1874 the tsar sent a secret decree to the Senate on awarding the children of Princess Dolgoruky George and Olga with legal rights and the title "light". Later, in 1880, an act was drawn up about the marriage of Emperor Alexander and Princess Catherine. This document gave the bride the title of the fairest princess Yuryevskaya, who could later be transferred to children from this marriage. So the daughter of the princess Olga and Catherine, son George received their own title and own surname.

short biography

Recognizing their own children, Emperor Alexander II called them rights with legal heirs - children from the first marriage with Queen Maria Alexandrovna. After the assassination of Alexander II by the Narodnaya Volya, the Yuryevsky family emigrated from Russia and settled in France. The Most Serene Prince George Alexandrovich Yuryevsky graduated with honors from the Condorcet College, and received his higher education in the Sorbonne. In 1891 he received a bachelor's degree, returned to Russia and became a naval officer. For several years, George Yuryevsky served in the Baltic Fleet, and in 1908 retired due to illness.

At the beginning of 1900, the Most Serene Prince was married to Countess Zarnekau. From this union was born the heir, the namesake of the Russian emperor, Alexander Georgievich. Unfortunately, the century, released to George, was short-lived. At the age of 41 he died in Marburg from acute jade.

150 years later

The son of George lived a long life. Constant revolutions and a change of governments in European countries, two world wars have lost the remnants of a large state of Yuryevsky - Alexander had to earn his living on his own. In the end, the descendant of Emperor Alexander II chose Switzerland as his permanent residence. In 1925, in the cathedral, he married Ursula Annemarie Beer, who, after the marriage, began to wear the title of the lightest princess Yuryevskaya. From this marriage was born Georgy Alexandrovich Yuryevsky - the great-grandson of Emperor Alexander II.

Our contemporaries

Our contemporary G.A. Yuryevsky was born in 1961 in Switzerland. A descendant of tsarist and princely blood leads an ordinary life, has its own profession. George Aleksandrovich Yurievsky received an excellent education, he became a graduate of the law faculty of the University of Zurich. He heads several companies related to the development of application software. In addition, the emperor's great-grandson has excellent sports training - he is a professional tennis player, has a diver-rescuer diploma.

Prince George knows the Russian language, but does not possess it in perfection. Poor knowledge of native speech is explained by the decision of his father Alexander, who feared persecution by the Soviet regime. The family was strictly forbidden to talk about modern Russia, but the history of a great country until 1917 was studied with all the details. About life in Russia, about the ancestors of Yuryevsky little George was passionately recounted by the mother of Ursula - the fairest princess Yuryevskaya.

In 2013, the family acquired the most illustrious prince George Alexandrovich Yuryevsky. Sylvia Trump, a resident of Germany, became his chosen one. Before the wedding, the bride was baptized according to the Orthodox rite - she was given the Christian name Elikonida, in honor of the martyr from Thessaloniki, whose memory the Christians of the Orthodox rite celebrate on May 28.

The marriage of this couple for many of the families was an event of the season. At the wedding there were the offsprings of the most famous ruling dynasties of central and eastern Europe.
