Fire extinguishing system. Fire cock

To protect from fire of various buildings or structures, install fire fighting water pipes. Inside the task is equipped with a fire cock, to which the fire water supply is connected. According to the requirements of SNiPP-30-76, fire water pipes with fire valves are installed in residential multi-storey buildings.

The fire cock is equipped with:

- a fire valve with a diameter of fifty or sixty millimeters attached to the riser branch;

- a hose (hemp sleeve) with a length of 10-20 m;

- Quick-closing pologankami;

- a fire barrel with a spray (tip) with a diameter of 13 mm, (and can also be 16, 19, 22 mm in diameter).

The fire cock is placed at a level of 1.35 m from the skirting in special lockers with the inscription "PC". The paired cranes are placed one above the other at a distance of one meter above the skirting board. Like all fire fighting equipment, the location of these products is indicated on the fire safety plan. A special sign is placed next to it: a white fire cock on a red box.

If there are more than twelve fire-fighting cranes in the network of fire-fighting water pipes, they are looped and connected to the networks by two or more inputs. The number of products is determined by the irrigation area of all the premises in the building. The operating radius of the crane is calculated by the formula: R = L1 + L2,

Where R is the radius of impact of the fire cock,

L1 - length of the hose (hose) of the fire cock;

L2 - the level of the compact part of the jet equal to the height of the room in which the fire cock is installed, but not less than six meters in buildings whose height does not reach 50 m and at least eight meters in buildings with a height of more than 50 m.

The radius of impact of the fire cock should not be less than sixteen meters (buildings below 50 m) and twenty-six meters (structures above 50 m). On the floor, fire hydrants are installed in such a way that any point in the room can be irrigated with jets of at least two instruments. The number of simultaneously functioning fire hydrants and the lowest water consumption can be seen in Table 1.

With the simultaneous use of instruments, a twin valve can be installed on one riser. The fire valve is mounted with a diameter of 50 mm. For one jet of water, 2.5 l / s or 5 l / s is required, the number of jets acting together should not exceed eight.
