The Pan-European center-right political party was founded in 1976. The name - European People's Party - includes nationalist, Christian-democratic, conservative and many others oriented in the political spectrum as center-right parties of most European countries.

The European People's Party unites all its members, as the very history of European civilization dictates, creating a certain political center of ideologically close participants.

In addition, 13 members joined the party together with the chairman of the European Commission, and the president of the European Parliament joined them, along with the largest faction of 265 members. Since 2013, the European People's Party has elected President Josef Share, a member of the European Parliament. In the structure of the party there is a youth department represented by the YEPP (Youth of the European People's Party) and EDS (student party groups, which were associated with the EPP).

  • Bringing skilled workers from other countries and around the world, the European economy - greater competitiveness, dynamics and knowledge-based.

Structure

Joseph Dole became the leader of the party in Bucharest, where the European People's Party held a congress, replacing the deceased Wilfried Martens. Vice-presidents also elected representatives of different countries and parties: Michel Barnier (France), Luminada Creighton (Ireland), Antonio Tayani (Italy), Peter Hintse (Germany), Korien Wortmann-Hall (Netherlands), Johannes Khan (Austria), Jacek Sariusz-Wolski (Poland), Mario David (Portugal), Anka Boyagiu (Romania), Tobias Bilström (Sweden). Thus, this political party is structured.

The European People's Party is directly connected with European funds specially created to finance initiatives. For example, the official Center for European Studies was founded, a sort of think-tank, which in turn includes many national foundations and centers.

Activities

Meetings are held at different levels to discuss common positions. At a special invitation, presidents and heads of government gather and talk with opposition leaders, who, of course, in such a massive organization as the European People's Party (EPP) also have. Meetings are organized before the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the party and are held at the headquarters.

Also periodically convened for short-term meetings authorized by the EPP with the members of the European Commission. Election campaigns of all parties-members of the EPP must be coordinated from the center of the party. The European People's Party has completely adopted the principles of democratic centralism and brought it into effect. From the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, its structure does not differ almost anything, even the Council of Ministers is coupled with the chairman.

Moldova

Iurie Leanca, former Prime Minister of Moldova, launched the political project "European People's Party of Moldova", presenting the team that joined him. The new party will be distinguished by the methods of activity on the political stage of the country, and it will become European not only in connection with the title.

An initiative group registered the European People's Party of Moldova, including Oazu Nantoi, Eugen Carpov, Octavian Tsyku, Victor Lutenko, Eugen Sturza, Victor Cyril, Valeriu Kiver, Eremey Prisyajnyuk, Ruslan Codreanu, Julian Groza, Viorel Roscovan, Veronica Cretu and a dozen A man from different political strata of contemporary Moldovan society.

Reasons for creating

The Institute for Public Policy in the person of its director Oazu Nantoi will continue to support this party, as the European prospects of Moldova under the existing government have degenerated into a farce, which is why it is impossible to reconcile with the false postulates promoted by the minority coalition.

Iurie Leanca strongly supported this position and stressed that this name will continue to be defended in every possible way, although the party has no legal right to it. The application for registration of the party's name has already been submitted to the State Agency in order to consolidate it as intellectual property of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova. Iurie Leanca is sure that the Ministry of Justice will not find legal grounds for banning the registration of the European People's Party of Moldova.
